It was so intense, like they were telling me something, they held a promise. But promise of what? Destruction. A small voice in the back of my mind hummed. Fresh tears escaped me as I started crying. Vengeance. That's what his looks held. Hunger for revenge. I gulped as the severity of the situation dawned on me. The man seemed insane and I had to stay away from him. Or else he might destroy me. And this time, I will be shattered completely.

“I know this is going to be hard to believe, Grayson, but those wolves are our neighbors.” Her eyebrows raised, and she stared at me for a long time, not blinking before she said, “Say what now?” “I know it’s hard to wrap your mind around. Just like the fact that you just saw me shoot a fireball out of my hand. But it’s true. They are shifters. And I’m a mage.” “A what?” she asked, wrinkling her face up at me. “A mage. It’s kind of like a witch… but I draw upon the forces of nature. I get my strength from the forest.”

"And yet, you speak our tongue and you hold yourself like a warrior." Magnus leaned forward on the massive desk in front of him. "I have decided to see what you are made of. You will train with my men today. If you prove to be as formidable as your name, we may find a place for you." He pointed a long finger at Brand which he noticed was covered in scars and runes of blue woad. "But, you will remain locked up at night until you have proven yourself to me. Should you go against me or any of my people, it will not go well for you. Do you understand?"

Lariempi said emotionlessly “Lord please teach me how to kill them, even with my powers I could only watch…” Amelia said before breaking into tears again and Lariempi smiled slightly “You couldn’t kill them because your weapon was too inferior.” He said, he then raised his index finger and a drop of golden god-blood dropped from his finger and landed on the ground

Alexis roared out limping to the front of the line his melted armor and hoisting up his sword with one hand. "I need bombardment magic on my position if anyone is not engaged!" The mage captain called out using a proxy stone to communicate with the other mages in throughout the army. "This is east column, did you encounter a rose as well!?" "This is center column you are on your own! Most of our men are dead, and were still fighting with The Black Guard being led by some freak with a giant battle axe that cannot be human! And there are fucking vampires here!" "A ROSE!? WHY THE FUCK WOULD I NEED SUPPORT FOR A ROSE! AND VAMPIRES ARE NOT REAL!"

“Guardians, please, come with me.” As they stand, Amir grabs my mate’s hand. I’m just about to step in, when she handles the situation, Guardian style. “I warned you not to touch me again, Amir,” she says and I watch her wolf push forward. Amir screams as he is turned to dust. My father’s eyes go wide as he sees his second in command disintegrated in front of him. The entire room goes silent around us. “Yes father. You would be wise to remember that they are called the Guardians of the Realm for a reason.” I snarl at him. “Ladies, please, come with me.”

Pointing to the girl beyond them. He looked back at her and then at me before lowering her head. “A mage?” Vanquish snarled. Looking over them at the girl which was already backing up so fast she stumbled. Hawk backed from the doorway and hopped down from the steps to help her up. “She’s mine.” He lifted his head challengingly. “And I’m a mage.” “Everyone needs to calm down!” Magnus put his hands up to ward Vanquish from approaching faster. “Before this all blows up...”

I knew for a fact that every mage was stronger than me. I saw that almost the majority of them could control fire or water. I turned my gaze to the other part of the arena where some were practising controlling the air, letting snow swirl up and controlling the tempo. After the fire fiasco, everyone was probably more or less trying to restrain their powers. Manifesting a small amount, enough that will allow them to practise. A member of the clan, a roguish-looking man, came and placed a bowl of water wordlessly, then left before I could utter my gratitude.

I didn't catch the eye of most because I was known to be wolfless and the fact that wasn't the case actually made me giggle a little thinking about it. Walking into the diner I was a bit suprised to see not only Duke and Flint sitting about midway through the diner but the brothers from the other pack sitting with them. I chuckled thinking it was probaly them leaving the note as a stupid prank or warning. I walked in fully planning just to step into the office and talk to Mama Rose. "What you doing here rouge? begging for scraps." Flint hollered at me. I rolled my eyes, it was so obvious when he used rouge as a term not my name and I knew he was looking for a reaction from me. I locked eyes

The witches closed in, their laughter echoing like a chorus of nightmares. Something inside Aqua snapped. A surge of dark energy, unfamiliar and terrifying, welled up within her. She felt her pendant grow hot against her skin, the clear crystal turning black as smoke. The air around her crackled with raw power as she turned back towards the attackers, her fear morphing into a blinding rage.
