Demon Caryllix: To Put A Leash On The Master
Who's brave enough to tame Caryllix and put a leash around his neck? No one. Not the ones who aren't Heidi.
Whatever dares to cross Hunter White’s drawn line, marks the beginning of their end. He’s obsessive and ruthless, enslaved by the shadows of his mind.
Heidi happens to be the one person often too quick to defy him. After all, what fear does she have left when she has been forced to live a miserable life, dealt with cruelty by the ones who were once her family?
When Hunter vows to protect her, he doesn’t exactly say from what. Because, the way Heidi sees it, she only needs protection from him, especially after he ate his own heart and laid corpses at her feet.
As several events unfold—the struggle to, or not to, unlock the Kalviyre Lock; a vengeful soul bound to run loose; and the lethal, black-eyed demon; Caryllix, released from its shell—Heidi discovers a part of herself she didn’t know exists, a side that not only makes her dangerous but her existence too.
It then dawns on her that she may be even more deadly than Hunter.
Does Heidi manage to conquer her darkness?
And what happens when there are greater forces at play? A creature of times past, captive of its own, seeking revenge on Heidi for a deed she knows nothing of?
Will Hunter fulfill his vow to keep her safe and stand by her side?
Or will it be the overprotective Zavere who'd do anything, even… die for her?
