Redemption of The Dragon Prince
I am dressed far more elegantly now, wearing a long dress that crosses my body in shifting silks of smoky grey and black, and as I move forward, the shadows of my dress give way to vibrant reds and golds with a touch of deep violet.
I look like a galaxy, swirling darkness kissed with the burning heat of stars.
Pulling back my hood, I do see one important change.
My eyes are no longer the golden hue of a sun dragon, at least not entirely. They are ringed in deepest black, like my fathers, dancing with specks of white and gold.
Reaching up, I touch my face to make sure it is real, that it is me.
“The Elf King is going to burn my body. He thinks he has you and my egg.”
