I asked. "My name is of no use." The girl muttered, keeping her head bowed. "I am nothing but another daughter of the eye of Cassandra and an indebted servant to Beta Curtis." I looked back to Curtis. What was he doing with a sister of that cult, I pondered? The eye of Cassandra was notorious for bringing misfortunes into reality and no matter how one fought against the words of their mouth, they always came to pass. She offered her hand but I refused it. The last thing I wanted was to be read by the seer. But I doubted she was one. Seers in the eye of Cassandra were blinded to the natural world. This woman could very much still see.

"Your eyes!" I didn't need a mirror to know what was happening. The burning feeling behind my eyes told me everything. They weren't turning the usual blood-red of my curse. They were glowing purple—the same purple as the old symbols on the ritual stones. "I can feel it," I said, my voice deeper than normal. "But I'm not losing myself."

I agreed and kissed the top of my son's head. I handed the baby back to the assistant and turned toward the exit, taking one last look at my pup. The medical team was waiting for me in the corridor with expressions that did not ease my mind. "What is that in my son's eye?" I said, my tone firm. "We do not yet know, but we believe it is an extension of the mark on his arm." The director said. "We are running out of time, sir. The curse is spreading." I drew a slow breath, knowing the professor was our only real chance and that Hector almost certainly knew it.

Hallelujah! But she knew that she couldn't win against Carter, so despite feeling like she was going to explode, she still answered, "It isn't what you think. I didn't get a perfect vision. It was just pieces like peeking through hazy mists, and that alone was enough to push me to death's door. You saw it with your own eyes, right? Indeed, I couldn't see visions before, but I had them. I had visions; I just couldn't see them. And you have to trust that I don't know how I saw this one. Maybe the curse is weakening." I tried not to let my mind fly by my thoughts again. "I have an eye that looks like ocean. The right one. It looks cool but it's a curse. A curse that I want to escape from. I don't want this in the very first place. Never. But how can I take it away from me when I can't? I tried." She added and I can feel the bitterness through the way she talks now.

“Just reading the scroll.” “What does it say?” As I read, my eyes widened. “This scroll is cursed.” “Cursed?” “Yes,” I confirmed. “It says… if someone not of this land touches it, the scroll curses them with blindness.” Finn cursed under his breath, voice seething with rage. “Those fucking disgusting wolves cursed me!” I looked at him—his blank, unfocused eyes brimming with fury. He was losing control. Suddenly, a distant howl shattered the air.

Her voice wavered as she crouched down and snatched the baby bottle from the woman's unsuspecting grip. Her hands trembled, her eyes wide with dread. "W-Where did you get this bottle?" Turning toward me, her gaze was filled with accusation and despair. Tears welled up as her voice cracked. "This… this is the bottle I gave to Nicholas, isn't it?!"

It has been a thousand years now and many third month of the full moon had passed but I was yet to meet the destined one. I opened my eyes which was filled with agony. My heart felt heavy from the burden I had been carrying for thousands of years. I regretted the day I had killed that innocent man thinking he was responsible for the death of my parents. What I didn’t know was the man had been cursed and whoever killed him would be the new host of the curse. Being able to live for thousands of years might be the longing of many wolves but not me as I was tired of repeating the same cycle over and over again.
