DAISY'S POV I headed for my room, the anger in my chest rising as though it were going to burst through my rib cage. I slammed the door as I went in, or at least, I tried to. The weight of the wooden doors didn't allow me to slam it as I wished. I dropped onto my bed and threw the nearest pillow I could find over my face, trying to block out the lights. I screamed and kicked as hard as I could before sitting up. I was so frustrated with the fact that he was doing this to me. I didn't understand him, and I doubted if I ever would. There was something about him I couldn't place my fingers on. One day, he acted like he cared; the other day, he acted as though I was a disease that he wanted to get rid of.
