I snatch the warm toast from the toaster, not giving a damn about whose it is. The loud blare of the hockey game on TV drowns out any chance of having a coherent thought. "Turn that down, you dipshit!" Owen's voice bellows from upstairs, causing Rocky to jump in surprise. Rolling my eyes, I reach for the strawberry cream in the fridge, grabbing a butter knife as I do. Placing the cream on the counter, I stiffen when I feel a sudden slap on my backside. A soft chuckle follows, "Warren, did you secretly get buttock surgery?" Tim's teasing voice fills the room. "Is that my bagel?" Ant appears, scratching his head as he retrieves a small box from the corner drawer of the kitchen. I nod at Ant's question, trying to keep my cool even though I can feel my annoyance bubbling up inside me. Ant doesn't seem fazed, though. He just casually strolls around the counter and opens the balcony door with a nonchalant flick of his wrist before closing it behind him.I can't help but wonder what Le

I stick my hands out with a dramatic flair, my long hair swishing around as I move my body to the beat of Taylor Swift. The music blares through the speakers, filling the room with a catchy tune. Ari joins in, twirling me around as we both double over in laughter. I collapse onto the couch, gasping for air as she turns down the volume, her chest heaving from the exertion. "I appreciate the effort to cheer me up, but Taylor Swift?" I manage to say between deep breaths, raising an eyebrow in mock disbelief.Ari gasps dramatically, clutching her heart in mock hurt. "How dare you disrespect a Swifty like that," she says, flopping down beside me with a playful pout. "Why didn't you just tell him how you felt, Leia?" Ari's tone is filled with genuine concern as she watches me fiddle with my thumbs. Memories of Warren's touch flood my mind, causing a pang in my chest."What would I have said, Ari? 'Hey, thanks for being so understanding about our situation, but I actually like you'? Yeah

This situation is beyond awkward. Here we all are, at the movie theaters of all places. Like, huh? Oh, and everyone's here, by everyone I mean – Owen, Warren, Ant, Athena, Ari, and of course, Adam. How did we all end up here? Well, I caved and let Athena and Warren tag along with me and Adam because Warren wouldn't let it go. And to make things less awkward, I asked Ari to come along to try and diffuse the tension, but she just had to bring Owen into the mix. And then Owen dragged Ant along because apparently, he was depressed or whatever, even though that was clearly a lie! And to add insult to injury? We're stuck watching some sappy romance movie because Ari and Athena insisted on it. And as if that wasn't bad enough, I'm sandwiched between Adam on my right and Warren on my left. Can this night get any worse?"Give me some, stop hogging the popcorn," Athena says with a glare, reaching over all of us and grabbing the popcorn from Adam."I bought this, get your own," Adam reto

"I swear, I have no idea who these people are. Why am I stuck in this dump? It's always the poor souls like me, who were actually cooperating," I grumble, gripping the icy metal bars that are trapping me in this godforsaken place. Ari plops down next to Owen, giving me a pout. "Leia, you're not just going to abandon me with these thugs, are you?" She asks, causing me to roll my eyes so hard I think they might get stuck in the back of my head. "I'm sorry Miss, but all of your friends here said you were involved," The officer, with his smug grin and chocolate donut, is the epitome of unhelpfulness. I shoot him a glare, wishing I could snatch that donut out of his hand and stuff it in his face. "Involved? Involved in what, exactly?" I snap. I can feel the chill of the cell seeping into my bones, making me shiver involuntarily. The fluorescent lights above flicker ominously, casting a sickly glow over everyone. I notice the grime coating every crack, making me wonder if cleanliness

It's Halloween, October 31, three days after the jail incident. Coach Johnson gave us a piece of his mind, but thanks to Ari, we managed to avoid any serious consequences. Leia hadn't once checked up on me though, not that I can blame her. Tim, with his man bun swaying from side to side, sarcastically remarks, "This is what happens when I'm not around to save the day." Ant, blowing out smoke from a joint, questions Owen, "Why did you pick a fight with the guards?" I can't help but wonder if Owen was trying to impress Ari with his tough-guy act. I may not have seen how it all started, but I know Owen was in the thick of it with those security guards. "I wish I was there," Rocky lies on the ground, feeling the weight of Tim stepping on his back before jumping off, causing Rocky to groan in pain. I chuckle dryly at the situation. It’s all because of that assAdam. He really knows how to push my buttons, especially when it comes to Leia. She hugged him in the cell, and it made me

I sit on the couch, the TV remote in my hand, scrolling through Netflix as if my life doesn't have a care in the world. It's funny, really, how I can be so nonchalant after being locked up not too long ago. But here I am, calm as can be. It's weird. I found out that Ari is throwing a party at Miranda's house tonight. Of course, I have no plans on attending. Why would I?Ari and I haven't exchanged a single word since the incident, and I'm certainly not going to be the one to break the silence. Ari's outfit caught my eye earlier though. She was dressed as a farmer, complete with a fake axe in hand. Her red hair was thrown up in a messy ponytail, and there was fake blood smeared across her face. She probably wanted me to compliment her before she left, but I simply couldn't bring myself to do it. I just turned away, ignoring her completely. I watch as Athena struts out of her room, looking like a total knockout in her bloody nurse costume. Her skirt is scandalously short, her blue e

Athena is practically begging me, down on her knees, with her hands clasped together like she's praying, and her lips all pouty. Her long, wavy hair is a tangled mess, and her eyes are wide with excitement. "Please, please come with me! It's on my bucket list!" she pleads, her voice filled with desperation. I groan and roll over, trying to catch some much-needed shut eye. My messy hair falls over my face as I bury it into the pillow, hoping to block out Athena's pleas. "Sorry, not happening. It's Saturday, ask Ari," I mutter. She's not giving up that easily. I can hear her let out an exasperated groan, clearly annoyed by my lack of enthusiasm. She stands up, hands on her hips, her foot tapping impatiently on the floor. "If you don't come, I swear I'll just kill myself!" Athena declares, a mischievous tone slipping into her voice. I can't help it – a sleepy laugh escapes my lips, even though my eyes remain stubbornly shut. From what I've come to know about Athena, she's always pul

As we finally make it to the majestic Rocky Mountains, I can't help but admire the breathtaking view. The mountains tower above us, their peaks reaching towards the sky.Rocky, of course, can't resist making a joke about how they were named after him. I roll my eyes, but secretly find it funny. The sun beats down on us, and I can feel the sweat beading on my forehead. Ant and Athena are up ahead, engaged in a heated argument. Athena looks really pissed off, her eyes flashing with anger, while Ant also looks like he's about to explode. I can't help but wonder if she invited them because she wanted to push Ant's buttons. Meanwhile, Tim is walking behind them, completely absorbed in his phone. He's so engrossed in whatever he's doing that he's almost tripped multiple times. I can't help but laugh at his near misses. It's like he's in his own little world, completely oblivious to everything around him. Rocky is leading the group, striding confidently ahead. I can't help but wonder if

I watch as she sobs uncontrollably, her shoulders shaking with each heaving breath. Her cheeks are flushed with emotion. Her hands are clenched into tight fists, her nails digging into her palms. I can almost feel the pain she must be in, both physically and emotionally. The way her body trembles tells me she's struggling to hold it all together. "Why are you crying?" I ask, my voice barely above a whisper. She looks up at me, her eyes filled with a mix of worry and anger. I can't stand to see her like this. It's like a knife to the gut, twisting and turning with each sob that escapes her lips. I wish I knew how to make it better, how to make her smile again. How did she end up in the lake? She was supposed to stay up there with Athena and Tim. I caught a glimpse of that idiot Rocky, standing safely on the edge of the rocks, while Athena instructed me to find Leia. The sound of the rushing waterfall tries to drown out her cries, but I can still hear them. My hands instinctively

"Warren," I blurt out, my voice wavering slightly as I try to get his attention. His brows furrow in concern, his handsome face a mix of worry and confusion. I quickly plaster on a smile, trying to ease his concern. "I have something to tell you," I confess, watching as his eyebrow quirks up in curiosity. His piercing blue eyes meet mine, causing a jolt of nerves to shoot through me. I can practically hear my heart pounding in my chest as I try to gather my thoughts. It's selfish of me to want to spend time with him, especially when he confessed to me. It's unfair to both of us. On the other side of the lake, near the cascading waterfall, Tim and Rocky engage in a fierce struggle, attempting to drown each other. Ant and Athena are also bickering while splashing each other with water."I... I don't think I want us to be just Coach and Athlete," I confess, my words coming out in a jumble as I nervously chew on my lip. A very attractive grin spreads across his face, making my anxie
