Mulan's POV The next day at work, Jax brought in a pile of files and with a huff, he dropped them on my table. “You didn't say anything when I was laying my complaint yesterday." He said, crossing his hands on his chest with his legs crossed. “What complaint?" I asked, peering at him for a while before I resumed what I was doing. “Working for a ghost boss." He spat out, a smile forming on my lips that instant. “I thought you dropped the complaint yesterday." Pouting, I added, “I give it to you, you have a knack for nagging." “Is that what you’re going to say?" He asked through his teeth. He was livid and I had no idea why he was reacting this way. “I'm used to it, I have no reason to complain.” I shrugged, making him flare up again.
