Lisa's POV:I am unable to move from my spot outside of the den. My brain was on high alert. Nothing like this had ever happened to me and I wasn't prepared for it. Katherine's lifeless body was still crumbled on the ground at my feet, her head merely steps away. My mouth was gaping and my brain swimming. Blood was splattered over the bottom of my jeans and I stare at the blood in horror.A distant howl rips through the forest and my eyes widen at the raw vulnerability that could be heard. Lisa's POV:A strangled gasp leaves my lips as I shoot up into a sitting position. Alex's hand is still around my waist and he wears a disturbed expression on his face."What the hell just happened?" he demands, grasping my chin in his hands.Looking around the room, I notice the broken bulbs and fallen books. My mom's name was Mia and she was, obviously, my father's mate. Before he met her, he was a lot like Alex, cold, cut off, a major man-whore. But when he met her, it all stopped. He started to get happier, although he never showed it to his men.He was King, he couldn't show any human emotion. After that, they had a pretty normal relationship and then she got pregnant. Still pretty normal, until the demons tried attacking. After she had the baby, they vowed to not have anymore kids.
