Cassie’s POV The next morning, I awoke early, despite tossing and turning in my bed for hours together, chasing sleep. By the time I had stepped out of my room, it was past 8 am and Enzo was nowhere to be found. He has already gone to work, I presumed. I had decided to meet Kelly for lunch later today, so until then, I essentially had the entire house for myself. Fixing myself a quick cup of coffee, I settled down by the kitchen counter and lazily ran my eyes over the empty space of the house. The one thing that stood about the house was how bland it was, how lifeless and empty it seemed. It almost felt criminal that Enzo was wasting the enormous potential this house had. This beautiful space needed some upgrading for sure, but it wasn’t my call to make.
