Markus paused for a moment having no idea how he should proceed. While Valeria’s worry increased seeing how quickly he switched his moods. He appeared like a maniac to her at that time, the sympathy she had been feeling for him was completely gone. "I didn't mean to hurt you, Valeria. It is just that…..seeing you getting married to someone else made me....mad. I don’t know what happened to me at that time, I felt like burning the whole world.”  Markus sounded frustrated and disheartened at first. Glancing at Valeria he raised his hands in the air with a soft smile. Raking through his hair with a scoff, his tone showed his agitation which he felt after hearing the news. "I just knew I had to fly there as soon as possible and explain to you immediately. You know..." His voice broke and grew shallow at once. 

"Hello gentlemen!" Valeria halted in front of them knowing they would not refuse her, though she keenly observed their faces to know whether they suspected her or not. When none of them uttered anything Valeria smiled and folded her arms to make sure they understood her authoritative position.  She paused for a moment to keep up her farce and to proceed with her quick persuasion,  after a brief moment of staring she resumed. "I want a ride to New York." Valeria ordered them with a smile as she waited for them to comply, but when none of them spoke anything instead they all looked at each other in confusion.  "Now!" Valeria again asserted her tone so they would understand the dire need for the urgent flight. She was running out of time and was fully aware that Markus could catch her any time.

"Yeah sure! Everything is my fault now.” Valeria intentionally chose those words to hint to Markus what he had done. She rolled her eyes and Markus dropped her legs in the bed gently. If he was playing with her weakness then Valeria equally knew how to tame him. They both had spent significant years together and knew each other inside out.  Valeria immediately crawled back in the bed, knowing that nothing good will come from him now. ‘Come on. React now, I know you are angry. Throw me out.’ Valeria knew his unstable temper and expected him to react impulsively. So, she could guilt trip him and make Markus let her go.
