Chapter 21

Narrator-Friday evening came, the eve of the catalogue shoot. Cara logged off her laptop and exited her office thirty minutes before needing to report for dinner. She knocked on Jason's door, and as usual waited for his permission before entering his space.Cara walked to the chair and sat down. She was now used to Jason not looking at her when she entered the space. She was also used to him pretending that nothing happened between them, which is why she wasn't surprised when he made no comment on his behavior towards her the night before."Have you confirmed everything for tomorrow morning?" Jason asked, typing away on his laptop.Cara crossed her legs and leaned back in her chair."Yes. The caterers will arrive at 6:00 AM, and Christos's team, including makeup will arrive at 7:30 AM. Miriam promised that the outfits will be delivered exactly at 8:00 AM on the dot. The entertainers will have breakfast on the set starting at 8:30 AM." Cara gave a detailed report.Jason nodded, but did

Chapter 22

Narrator- Jason started toward Cara. Cara jumped slightly and began to back away. Her hands lifted towards Jason, as if telling him to keep his distance, while her feet scurried her into one of the walls. Jason was quickly closing the space and Cara's mouth began to speak before she could stop herself. "I-I- I take two Advil pills on the first day of my period to avoid cramps. And- and I have a secret stash of chips and Walmart chocolate in one of my drawers-" Cara's words were cut off by Jason grabbing her jaw with his right hand. His left palm slammed on the wall next to Cara's head, and his hips pushed hers against the wall. Cara squeaked and breathed shakily. Jason squinted his eyes and angled his head to the side, his eyes clouded with an anguish and hunger Cara couldn't understand. "And- and I get bothered when you look at me because my heart forgets how to beat, I forget how to breathe, and- and I like it when you call me good girl." She stuttered out in a last attempt to

Chapter 23

Narrator- The weeks following the photoshoot were uneventful. Cara returned to her routine of playing secretary, and Jason treated her as nothing more than a shadow who can talk. Neither the outspoken beauty, nor the jealous Dom chose to speak of their last close encounter. Jason returned to the club often, even though he never used an entertainer to accompany him in the playrooms, nor did her ever force Cara to join him again. He found that after their last discussion, he began to obsess a little too much about Cara. He hated that the only time he witnessed her smile was when she was with Cindy and Vincent, far away from him. He hated that whenever she looked at him, her eyes were always hard and judgmental. And he hated that he wanted nothing more than to invest time to mold and shape her into his ideal woman. This wish to even reach a common ground with Cara is what scared Jason the most, and urged him to distance himself from her. Cara was right, eventually she would leave, a

Chapter 24

Narrator- "What?" Cara breathed out and shook her head, "what do you mean? She- Cindy wouldn't do that." Cara argued before sending a quick glance in Cindy's direction. "I'm sorry Miss Thompson, but it's the truth. Now we've started her on Naloxone, but depending on how long she's been addicted, it's going to be a long road to recovery. The alcohol appears to have caused extensive damage on her liver, it's fascinating actually that she's made it this far." The doctor explained. Cara was speechless. She gulped and looked at Cindy again, while her left arm was hooked beneath her breasts, and her right hand rested on her chest, while her elbow used her left arm for support. "Is there any other family we can call?" The doctor wondered after a moment in silence. Cara shook her head, "Not that I know of." The doctor nodded, "well alright. Do you need anything at this time?" Cara smiled softly, "No. I'm alright, thank you." The doctor nodded again then excused himself. Cara stared at

Chapter 25

Jason- "Alright, thank you Declan." I expressed, then turned off the phone while heading to my room. I closed the door behind me, and instantly removed my tie and my shirt. I walked around my bed, and opened the first drawer in my nightstand. I pulled out the white envelope, which now bore a wrinkled corners and sweaty fingerprints, as a result of being opened over and over again the past few months. I pulled out the contents of the envelope and leaned back on the head of my bed. My eyes scanned the pieces of paper in my hand until I had read each word verbatim. Then I closed my eyes and sighed. Cara was gone, and I had no idea what to do. I spent the past few months building he perfect defense against her. I told myself I wouldn't get affected by her spunk and fire. Except I was fooling myself. Like a pyromaniac, I was drawn in by the explosion of emotions and personality which she housed behind that pretty face and sharp, tasty tongue. Like a glutton, I was addicted to her taste

Chapter 26

Narrator- Cara crossed her arms and stared at Jason. He was openly daring her to lie. And she could... but he would know and might retaliate. Cara couldn't handle Jason catching onto her lie and retaliating. The way he stared at her with his hands still in his pockets, she still couldn't believe that he was there. But he was too late. Cara wondered why he waited so long to come after her. The questioned soured her heart and Jason noticed it. He wanted to know what she was thinking, but he bid his time. Cara was his once and for all. He had all the time in the world now, to know her, to own her, and he wasn't afraid of losing her again. Cara licked her tongue over her teeth while her lips remained sealed, then she sucked her teeth, "I'm not doing this with you." She admitted in the end. "Wise choice." Jason pointed. Then he removed his shirt, and Cara stepped back again. "Now," Jason sighed, "it's been quite a long day, and I'd like to get some rest." Cara looked at Jason with a

Chapter 27

Narrator- Cara dropped the photos back on the table in anguish then stood and walked up to Jason. He took a step forward and met her halfway. Cara drew in a deep breath and fisted her fingers. Jason looked down at her scowl and kept his face neutral, but his eyes hardened by the second. Their chests pumped simultaneously with heavy and excited pants. Jason watched closely as Cara's eyes filled with angry tears, and she wiped them away with the back of her hand before they spilled. Then she looked at Jason again and her heart ached in her chest. He had admitted to wanting her, but still, her heart hurt. "Why did it take you so damn long?" Cara demanded. Jason stuffed his hands in his pockets and lowered his face as close as possible to Cara's. "I wanted to give you a chance to really think on whether or not you'd walk away from me again." Jason said lowly. His tone had bumps piling over Cara's skin, and she wondered why Jason couldn't just be the regular man who simply hugged her

Chapter 28

Narrator- The room Cara expected to see had been transformed into a different setting. The two full beds had been replaced with a large, sole, queen bed. The dresser remained and both nightstands were each planted on a respective side of the bed. Due to the larger space, the sitting area was upgraded with a larger couch and an armchair. Cindy's photographs were replaced with various paintings. The room itself was now livened with indoor greenery. The bed was decorated with sky blue sheets and white designs to match the curtains which adorned the large windows and balcony door. Cara dropped her bag casually on a side table near the door, and with her suspicions getting the best of her, she headed to the closet. To more of her suspicions and less of her surprise, the clothes she had left behind were still hanging in the closet. Cara closed the door with a huff and turned around in anguish. So she was back in the mansion and felt ready to scream. But screaming would have to wait, for

Chapter 29

*WARNING: This Chapter contains material that some may find sensitive/ offensive. Read at your own discretion.* Narrator- "Did you miss me?" His voice said casually. Cara drew in a breath and opened her eyes, but her vision was blocked by a satin cloth. Her body was seated on a wooden chair, with her hands bound behind her back. Her ankles were each bound to a leg chair, away from each other, causing her thighs to spread apart and her body to be exposed to the cool wind which blew over her sensitive skin. Cara gulped. She did miss him, his voice, his touch, his lips... "Well did you?" He said, then his hands landed on her shoulders. Cara gulped, the lining of her spine tingling with goosebumps. His hand palmed its way over her shoulder, then the border of her neck, until he caressed the length of her vocal cord. Cara gulped again, she licked her lips and released a shuddering breath. His thumb traced her bottom lip, and he lowered his mouth to her left ear. He kissed the skin o

Chapter 30

Narrator- Cara gulped while staring into Jason's eyes. She knew he was serious, and she had no strength nor desire to hold onto her pride any longer, so with a droop in her shoulders, her body soften beneath Jason's strong physique. "Jason, plea- what, what do you want from me?" Cara asked softly, while looking into his eyes through the mirror. Jason's fingers tightened in her hair at the sound of her voice, and he pressed his mouth in her ear again and whispered while still holding eye contact, "The truth." Cara sighed and licked her lips. She would try to be stubborn one last time. It's as if Jason read her mind, and before knew his, his hand pinched the skin of her hips, encouraging Cara to speak without holding back. "Okay yes!" Cara suddenly belted out, "Yes I want you, yes I want to be with you. I belong to you. I thought it was clear even before I left. And I'm pissed that you let me walk away, more do than I was when I blamed you for my father's death. Damn it Jason, yo
