Maureen's POVMy anger was boiling over by the time Lance and I got to the room back at home. I refused to talk to him all through the drive back home. It was late by the time we got back home so the Luna insisted that we eat dinner before going to our separate rooms. We agreed and had our hands watched in the kitchen before settling down for our meals. The Luna looked distracted and nervous. She and the Alpha kept stealing glances at each other and sometimes looking at Dominus in a way I couldn't understand. I took my mind off my own anger for a moment to observe everyone. Mum was smiling secretly. Sometimes she looked at dad and they would both look at Dominus and smile as if they knew a secret he didn't. 'Mum, is everything okay?'
