" My boy, you really have to pull yourself together. The fact that your father left us doesn't mean that the world has come to an end", our housekeeper, Ma Erica said as she walked into my room and saw me crying myself to death. A lot had happened in just a few days; I had lost my father, spent a good amount of time in jail, and also sustained injuries that almost left my face scarred, my signature fine face. " Look", she sat near my feet and I sat up to give her the impression that I was paying attention, " your late father; bless his gentle soul, would never have wanted you to be in this current state, feeding yourself tears for drink and isolation for bread. He would never have wanted you to stop living your life". My eyes which were puffy and dried up of tears were ignited, and tears started flowing effortlessly. I looked at her as I cried and she immediately understood the question on my mind, it was evident on my face - what life are we talking about? The one that ended wit

" Who the hell are you?" I shouted with every air in my lungs, the sound coming out like a shriek. The figure with crossed legs slowly turned to reveal Hunter's face, his cold blue eyes shooting bullets into my chest. " What the hell are you doing here?" I asked, coming closer to the couch he was sitting on. There was no response. " I said, what the hell are you doing here?" " That is no way to speak to your beloved husband, is it?" he calmly said, the words ' beloved husband ' sounding like poop to the ears. " You still have not answered my question. What the hell are you doing here? And how did you even get in?" I was holding on tightly to my briefcase, careful enough to control my emotions before the case would end up smashing someone's head. " Your mother brought me here, and insisted that I stay. She probably expects us to consummate our marriage tonight", he said, making me wonder what was making me more angry about him; the fact that he was still sitting majestically o

We smiled at each other, about to join the others in the living room when I magically tripped and fell, with Hazel falling on top of me. You know those scenes in movies where the girl falls to the ground in slow motion and the guy saves the day, grabbing her by the waist and both of them lovingly staring at each other in surprise and shock while a romantic song played in the background? I was always mesmerized by it, and I never believed that such was possible, I mean, not unless you're as light as a sheet of paper; even paper falls to the ground more speedily than those girls, especially in k-dramas. Well, not until that moment. I was pretty sure that the fall lasted for minutes because for the very first time, in-between that moment of tripping and getting to the floor, I noticed how handsome he was, how enchanting his green eyes were, cand how endearing his Adam's apple was - movies can really happen in real life. We landed on the floor, his weight against mine, his b

Nobody told me to gently get my hand off the fridge. " I'm not gonna stay here and exchange words with you but I will tell you one thing: you better withdraw that lawsuit and drop those charges, or else....", I held myself from going further. It will be too bad if I don't get to carry out any threat I make so not making it in the first place seems safer. " Or else what?", he asked, his eyes piercing mine, staring emotionlessly into mine, " you and I know you can't do shit, so quit being so childish". He knew what he was doing. Hazel Mcman: CEO of IC corporations gets tried for sexual assault - that seemed like a very interesting news headline and that was what he was trying to create. I didn't want to think about what would happen if things should get to that level; our sales will automatically drop, our stock exchange would plummet, our investors will withdraw, it was a whole lot, and just thinking about it gave me the chills. He pushed me out of his way with his shou

Hunter's POV I was already late for class and Dr Peter was a no nonsense man when it came to keeping time. I walked briskly to my car and zoomed off as soon as I turned on the ignition, not bothering myself with warming the car. I was actually placed on probation from driving after that particular run in with the cops but breaking the law was an expertise of Hunter; an unwanted expertise. I thought I would've had trauma driving after what happened to my dad but such a feeling didn't suffice; I wonder why movies always portrayed characters with trauma after unlikable incidents, like how Sung Jun in 'She Was Pretty' couldn't drive under the rain after the traumatic accident of his mother. I got to the parking area at exactly 9:00 O'clock; Dr Peter should already be in class. I ran out of my car and into the lecture hall not minding the stares I got from people - yeah, it was weird running like a man with a red rag in a bull ring, but I totally wasn't ready to stay out of Dr
