Chapter 31

“It’s okay. That one there has no hospitality skills, so that's on him.” Seung-ho remarked, looking in Min-a’s direction as he lay sprawled on the white cushion watching whatever was playing on the TV. Min-a met their eyes, both of them slightly glaring at him. “What?!” he exclaimed, his eyes moving between them. “You left me behind with your lunch, that’s what..” Seung-ho raised the brown paper bag to his face. “And you had an important visitor coming and you didn’t bother to tell me?!” Eun Hye hissed at him, adjusting her hair properly in the process. Min-a groaned, rolling his eyes. “Those bags don’t even weigh that much.” He said to Seung-ho before he turned to Eun Hye, “Mr. Kwan is not strange, and I thought you would be knocked out from drinking, how was I supposed to know—” She didn’t let him finish his accusations before she kicked him in the leg, causing him to yelp in pain. Turning to Seung-ho, Eun Hye gave him her warmest smile. “Mr. Kwan, please come in,” Sh

Chapter 32

Seung-ho woke up to the sound of muffled K-pop music playing from afar but sounded so close at the same time, almost like it came from inside the same building. The music faded as his focus was claimed by the man who slept next to him. A small smile spread across his lips, Min-a was downright adorable when asleep. Stray strands of hair framed his face, tempting Seung-ho to resist the urge to brush them away. One thing he did forget was that he was close to him, breathing directly on Min-a’s face ultimately causing one of his hair tendrils to tickle his nose, therefore waking him up. Min-a groaned, fluttering his long, beautiful lashes open. The first thing he saw was Seung-ho’s chiseled jawline and twinkling blue eyes close to his face. The next thing that came to his mind was pushing Seung-ho as far away from him as possible, only to forget he was the lanky one so he fell off the bed instead. A painful groan left his lips as his body collided with the floor. Seung-ho laughed

Chapter 33

“He would be fine.” Eun Hye said after Min-a slammed the door shut. Seung-ho walked towards the kitchen, “will it be okay if I have a glass of water?” He asked, turning halfway around to meet Eun Hye’s gaze. “Of course,” she nodded. Eun Hye strolled up the few steps that separated the kitchen from the living room area to join Seung-ho. He had a long glass cup half filled with water then he stared lost into space. Eun Hye waved her well-manicured hands in Seung-ho’s face, causing him to blink rapidly before he met her and sighed. “I was just wondering how a name could get him so mad.” Seung-ho shrugged, dropping the glass on the granite counter, “thank you for the water.” He smiled in an appreciative manner. “It’s not like I was planning to keep you thirsty anyway…” Eun Hye chuckled nervously before slowly coming to a stop. She took some seconds to process what she said, realizing how improper it sounded. Kwan Seung-ho squinted his eyes at her, cocking his head to

Chapter 34

“I said it before, I don’t trust business people. You only do what is in your best interest.” Seung-ho shot back, staring down at her coldly. “Notice how the stare is less?” Eun Hye asked with a smirk. Seung-ho couldn’t tell the difference; he felt like he was being taken advantage of. Nonetheless, they now found themselves in the lounge area, surrounded by several glass tables with chairs around them. The whole environment was very cozy and breathed expensive air. Most people around sat in pairs resembling a date setting except for the private area that resembled the VIP setting in the club. Only this time, they were in the open and a little heater was placed at the center of the brown wood table. Ji-ho was the first amongst the four to spot Kwan Seung-ho, bringing others' attention to both of them as they strolled down the aisle with their arms locked together. Everyone seemed to find it cute except for Min-a, who had a neutral expression on his face. Pleasantries were p

Chapter 35

To Min-a’s surprise, his art coach didn’t reply with anything witty. In fact, he ignored his entire statement like he didn’t just speak. And he didn't just imagine that in his head because his sister responded with a little frown as she leaned forward with him. That brought a grimace to Min-a’s face. He couldn't understand why she was acting like Seung-ho couldn’t do anything on his own? Every choice the man makes, she agreed with. She had literally been clinging to his arms all night since they arrived. Seung-ho paused his lips, rubbing his hands together. “This is going to be petty..” He warned them beforehand. “Mr. Kwan, that’s the whole essence of the game.” Ji-ho cheered, already getting excited. She couldn’t believe a man could be so hot, awkward, humble, and rich. She began to understand why Eun Hye stuck to his side even though she was a whole ass millionaire CEO. “Never have I ever..” He paused, causing everyone to look at him expectantly. “Never have I ever…n

Chapter 36

Min-a felt like a test rat under scrutiny as everyone kept throwing glances in his direction. “It’s your turn, Min-a...” Ji-ho replied carefully, watching him sit upright. “Alright.” Min-a cleared his throat. “Never have I…” he belched, giggling at his lack of self-awareness. All because of one man. Shaking his head theatrically, Min-a patted both of his cheeks, throwing in another shot of tequila to push down whatever embarrassing lump was rising up his throat. It was the last round anyway. “What was that thing everyone was saying...yeah, I’m going to make it more relatable.” He announced, suddenly full of energy. Ji-ho looked different, she knew he was struggling to stay together, she just didn't know what caused it. Since he came, his mood has been even more damp than usual. “Pra!! Pra!! Pra!!” He exclaimed gingerly, drumming on his thighs, causing Ji Won to grin. “This is the most energetic I have seen him all night..” Inn Woo said, shaking his head. As Min-

“Miss Seo,” Seung-ho wrapped his arms around her shoulders, she didn’t resist leaning into his strong arms, taking shelter. Eun Hye let out another sigh of exhaustion. “I wish I could read what goes through his mind.” Kwan Seung-ho rubbed her back, whispering comforting nothings to her as Ji Won and Inn Woo settled back to their seat, both aiming for the last two shots on the table coincidentally. “Has he been out of his mood for a while now?” Seung-ho blurted out. The question bubbled at the tip of his tongue. “No. Not that I can recall.” Inn Woo replied. “In fact, all of this started very recently, like three days ago. He started acting weird.” “Could this be because of me?” Seung-ho thought about the time when Min-a’s mood changed, but it didn’t make any sense. He recalled it was right after Eun Hye called him by that name “Haneul” He wasn't even planning on teasing him with it, yet he got so mad that his older sister had mentioned it. “I think I should be on my

Chapter 38

“Antarctica…Is that what you wanted to say?” Ji-ho implied, shaking her head as a small smile appeared on her face, matching Min-a's satisfactory expression as he repeated the word to himself severally. “Yeah, Antarctica…why aren’t children called Antarctica? It's such a cool name.” Min-a turned his head to Ji-ho as he completely laid his back on the black seat. “There probably are kids called Antarctica. Just not any in Korea. At least, not to my knowledge.” Ji-ho replied with another small smile, dressing his hair sideways away from his eyes before she started the car. She backed out of the parking space expertly, heading into the busy road sleekly. “You can drive?” Min-a suddenly realized she was the one driving. “Yeah, you are really drunk,” Ji-ho concluded, taking the bend into the highway. “You can't blame me, anytime we hang out, you always talk about taking a taxi because you don’t trust yourself with a steering wheel while you are drunk and—” he was cut short

Chapter 39

Min-a instead searched his cabinet for some painkillers, but there wasn't even a single paracetamol in his cabinet. Except for his antidepressants. “You have got to be fucking kidding me.” Min-a sighed, resisting the intrusive thought of slamming the cabinet door, remembering that it was also a glass. Closing the cabinet door gently, he met with his reflection. Staring at him was a face that barely seemed his own. Bloodshot eyes, puffy and rimmed with dark circles, reflected a night of regret. It wasn't that bad. At least, he was still hot. Min-a winced as he took a bath, his temple throbbing with a relentless, dull ache. His mouth was dry and his tongue heavy like sandpaper. When he was done, he settled for a very large oversized plain black shirt and white light trousers. A matching black bucket hat and black Vans. He took his sports backpack along, betting on the hangover smoothie and some painkiller he was going to have, he should be fine by the evening time to p

Chapter 40

Eun Hye finally got out of bed. Thankfully, she didn't have to treat herself to a hangover because she drank a lot of water last night, enough to keep her going to the toilet every one-hour interval. Also enough to make her sleep through her alarm when she had successfully emptied her tank. She brushed her teeth, checking for any trace of Gimmari in her teeth because that was all she could smell on her fingers right now. That was when memories from the previous night started flooding in. Her disposition drove from excitement to a dampened mood because of her younger brother. Eun Hye recalled how messed up he was, he had been acting weird since they came from the shoot but the celebratory dinner was nearly a meltdown. She wouldn't know what to do again if Min-a had started dosing again. She had her own fair share of alcohol reliance and she knew how much it could mess someone up. Yet, she just couldn't help but feel like yesterday wasn't all about the alcohol or her calling hi
