Thea’s POV"He... he slapped me, Logan," I said, my voice shaking. "I don't know what I did to make her mad." My lie slipped out of my mouth, and I saw Logan's gaze change. But before he could react, a doctor came in with water and wet towels, trying to tend to me. Meanwhile, Emma seemed rooted to the spot, not knowing what to say. Maybe she knew that no matter what happened next, everyone here already saw her as the bad guy. I had won, at least for now. I looked up at Logan's face, hoping he would show more sympathy. But Logan's expression was not what I expected. Instead, there was something different in his eyes, a coldness I had never seen before. When he finally spoke, his voice was firm, and surprisingly, it was not worry that came out of it, but cynicism.
