The air turned thick with tension. Sandrino's soft voice reverberated like thunder to Adeline's ears.  Her face darkened at that. She raised her pointed chin, looked up, and locked her eyes on Sandrino's smiling ones. "Go ahead and tell Mom and Dad about it then. Nothing is going on between us anyway, so there's nothing anyone can talk about. Medical technology has become so advanced now as well. I trust it to help to prove my loyalty to Christiano." The afternoon sunlight was warm as oil, sweet as childhood. It embraced everything on the earth, providing strength to them. Adeline had someone drive her to the city center. Since she didn't want to flaunt herself where everyone could see, she asked the driver to drop her off a few streets away from her destination where it was less populated. It wasn't too far from the bookstore, so she decided to take her time and strolled around to relax.  As she approached the busiest part of the city, Adeline thought of the days she had spent with Evelyn. Adeline woke up to the crisp ringing of her alarm. She noticed that two of the buttons on her pajamas were undone, and she wondered if she had suddenly developed a habit of unbuttoning her clothes in her sleep. Blushing, she thought of her dream from the night before. The more she thought about it, the more she felt that she was on the verge of losing her mind. Shaking her head to clear her thoughts, Adeline then got out of her bed, washed up, and got ready for school. After that, Adeline went to eat breakfast in the dining room. A short while later, Sandrino walked down the stairs. "Adeline, are you going to school today?" Sandrino asked. "Yes, I am," Adeline answered as she finished the last bit of cereal in her bowl. As soon as she dozed off, she felt someone climb into her bed, and a pair of hands caressed her from head to toe repeatedly. However, when she woke up the next day, she looked around to find herself alone in her room once more. For the next four or five consecutive days, Adeline had the same dream. She had no idea why this was happening to her. These dreams were too realistic to be a figment of her imagination. If she was indeed dreaming, it wouldn't explain how her pajamas were tempered when she woke up the next morning. ......
