Chapter 31

After that night, I didn't see Ethan again. Because of the suspension, I was not attending classes; and I was also not going outside the dorm room. I needed to heal my wound as soon as possible; and it has healed in a week, as it was just a minor cut. Now, I am getting ready to attend today's class, after a whole week. I have to face Ethan again. The asshole is in the same section as mine. The thing that frustrates me is, I have to face him in the classroom. I don't understand how Ethan managed to enter my room that night. Did no one notice him? It's strange. Does he not feel scared of anyone? Putting on high waisted straight leg jeans, paired with button down crop top, and medium size pump heels, I march towards the classroom. My feet come to a stop seeing Ethan in front of me. All of a sudden, I recall everything he told me that night. How jealous he was feeling just because Aiden kissed me. If he can feel this much jealousy just because of a kiss; then if I have sex with Aide

Chapter 32

I am constantly cursing Ethan in my mind, burying my head in the pillow. I truly hate that guy. Just then, pulling me back to the present, my phone buzzes. My hands reach for my phone, to see the notification. What if it's Aiden's text? As I glance at the phone screen, my lips curl into a smile. It's Aiden, as I've anticipated. His text is: ‘Today is dad's birthday. There's a party. Get ready in the evening. I'll pick you up.’ After that station incident, the things Aiden's brother said about me: I don't like him at all, and I don't want to go there. But for Aiden, I can do anything. If he wants me to accompany him, I will do that then. I text back, that is: ‘I’ll get ready.’ In the evening, I dress up, wearing a bodycon (highlighting my skinny hourglass figure) sparkly spaghetti straps high side slit long gown, in black color, which is backless, paired with diamond jewelry like earrings and a bracelet, along with glamorous ankle strap heels, tying my hair in a bun, letting two str

Chapter 33

The Grand Ballroom at the upscale hotel is buzzing with the hum of conversation and the clinking of glasses as we enter, shimmering with soft lighting and elegant decor. As I feel someone's intense gaze on me, my eyes look for the person, and instantaneously land on Mr. Ethan Wilson, adorned in a black tuxedo, black shirt—the first three buttons are open—paired with black leather shoes, along with his silver cross pendant in his neck and analog watch as always; and his wavy deep brown long hair falling on his face, shining in the soft lighting. Small silver rings gleam from his earlobe. His mouth opens, locking his eyes with mine. He's stunned by seeing me. My own body responds to his gaze, my breathing increasing. Why does he show up everywhere I go? Does he follow me or something like that? The more I look into his dark brown eyes, the more I get lost. These eyes scream how much he wants to have me, and it threatens me everytime, the desire in his eyes that demands to be sati

Chapter 34

Jason leaves my hand in a hurry, while I turn quickly to see Aiden, forgetting about the pain I have felt a few seconds ago. His brows have furrowed seeing me with Jason. Choking with emotions, I step towards him. “Aiden, Belle was just talking to me. We were not doing anything intimate,” Jason murmurs, like an innocent asshole. Pressing my teeth, I turn to Jason, a wave of disgust washes over me. “What! What did you say?” “I am telling him that we were just talking,” Jason says, a bitter smile spreads on his face. Truly disgusting. I understand very well what he wants to do. I turn back to Aiden. His icy glare is piercing my soul. “Aiden, you believe me. Right? Listen…” Before I can complete my sentence, he turns and leaves from there, not uttering a single word to me. My outrage grows more, as Jason's evil chuckle passes through my ears. Storming towards Jason, I land a wild slap on his cheek again, leaving my hand’s imprint on his cheek, and kick on his knee. And t

Chapter 35

“Who made you cry?” Ethan asks, his brows furrowing in worry. I don't want to tell him anything, otherwise he'll try to give me his shoulder to cry on, just like guys do every time. I understand the cunningness of boys very well. They can do anything to impress girls. Even if Aiden has hurt me, I still don't allow any guy—to give me his shoulder to lean on, or to cry on. “Not your business,” saying, I step forward to go, but he holds on to my wrist from behind. I wince in pain at his touch and turn to him, as he grasps the same wrist Jason has grasped before. He leaves my wrist quickly and holds on to my palm instead—of the same hand—raising it upwards in the air. My mouth drops open, as I examine the marks on my wrist closely, the small cuts where the nails have broken my skin, and tiny beads of blood dripping out from these cuts, staining the hand and the floor with dark, crimson spots. Ethan's jaw tightens, clenching his fist tightly. “Who did this to you?” he growls, in

Chapter 36

Pulling the airpods from my ears, I step towards Ethan, trembling and sweating in fear. Jason's loud cries echo across the dark room. He falls on his knees. His whole face is bruised badly. I can't even imagine how painful that would be. “Ethan, what the hell did you do to him? Have you lost your mind? Do you really not feel scared of anyone?” I scream, my chest moving up and down, fuming with rage. Ethan doesn't say anything to me. Sitting on the sofa, Ethan reaches for a cigarette and a lighter; pressing the cigarette between his lips, he lits it up with shaky hands. The first drag is deep, the smoke filling his lungs as he tries to steady himself. His eyes are hard, unyielding, still fuming in rage, fixed on Jason. The cigarette trembles slightly between his fingers as he exhales, the smoke curling around him like the remnants of his fury. “Ethan, you are still silent. Seriously!” I growl. “Jason, from now on, Belle is your sister. What is she?” he asks, glaring into Jason's e

Chapter 37

Settling me on the passenger seat, Ethan shuts the car's door and walks around the driver seat. As he sits on the driver's seat, he starts the engine and drives away from there. “Where are you taking me now?” I ask. “At the hospital,” he says, averting his gaze to me. “It's not a big wound.” “It is. I can't let you go to the dorm like this. Your hand, your feet…both are stained in blood,” he states. I give up on fighting further, as I'm already tired from today's drama. My whole life has become a drama all of a sudden. Everyday feels like I'm the main character of a dramatic movie. I don't know what more things will happen to me in future. I'm not prepared for any traumatic experience. Jesus! Please, let my life go back as it used to be. As we reach the nearby hospital, Ethan takes me in his arms again. He enters the hospital along with me, and everyone's gaze shifts on us. They are making me uncomfortable. “Ethan, I can walk. Everyone's staring at us,” I whisper in his ear

Chapter 38

Sitting on the chair in Central park, I'm reading a book, or I should say that I'm just staring at the pages, because I'm unable to focus on reading. For the last two days, I've just been waiting for Aiden's call or a text. Neither he called nor sent a text to me. Does he not even care about me anymore? It has never happened in our six months of relationship that he doesn't call me after our fight. I've not eaten anything in these two days. I don't feel like eating anything at all. I feel so weak, my limbs feel heavy and uncooperative. Emotionally, I'm on the edge—a mix of sadness, anxiety, and a strange numbness that has made it hard to focus on anything other than Aiden. Just then, my phone starts buzzing; glancing at the phone screen, tears brim in my eyes as soon as I see Aiden's caller ID. On one hand, I'm dying to talk to him; on the other hand, I don't even want to pick up his call. Struggling between the inner turmoil, I pick up Aiden's call a second time, but don't utt

Chapter 39

To my surprise, my phone starts ringing. It's an unknown number. Picking up the call, I fly the phone to my ear. “Sit inside the car,” the voice comes from the other side. “Who's that?” “Mr. Ethan Wilson…your soon to be husband.” “What the fuck is that? Are you giving me an order?” “No. I'm kidnapping you. You're unofficially kidnapped Miss Dubois,” he declares, his voice sending shivers down my spine. “What! I'm kidnapped. Are you out of your mind? You can't kidnap me. I won't sit inside the car,” I shout at him. “Emily was there with you in the park. Right? I'm sure you haven't seen her for a long time,” he says. My temples tense in worry now. Yes. I was here with Emily. Due to my heartache, I completely forgot about her. I should look for her. “Don't need to look for her, Belle. She's safe for now, but won't be for a long time if you don't sit inside the car…now,” he states. My eyes widen and my jaw drops. Is he telling the truth or just pranking with me? One second.

Chapter 40

When I step into Ethan's penthouse along with Alex, Colin, and Sam, I'm immediately struck by its size, luxury, and elegance. The large windows give a breathtaking view of New York City, with skyscrapers glittering in the evening light. The living room is spacious, everything in dark or black colors, a sleek—black leather couch along with a glass coffee table. As I walk further in, I see Ethan cooking, in a kitchen with black appliances and a marble countertop with dark veining. Ethan's friends settle themselves on the dining table's seats. “Bro, sister-in-law is here,” Alex screams aloud. Why are they calling me sister-in-law? What nonsense! Ethan glances up into my eyes, but I roll my eyes. I can't stand this person for a single second, and I'm here at his penthouse now. What misery. “Sit down, Belle,” Ethan says, stepping around the dining table, placing the dishes he has cooked. “You kidnapped me. Why don't you tie me now?” I mock him. His jaw tightens, glaring into my eye
