LEVI Running down the basement hallways with my brothers shouting Renee’s name, I switched on the light. Spotting an open door, relief flooded through me as I sprinted toward the room. Breathing restlessly, I turned on the switch that brightened the darkened room. My heart sank into my stomach when I saw that the room was empty except for cans of spilled paint that were on the ground. Someone was here. Renee.
