Daisy POV - Lots going on today, it is a big day for us, Joe has his Delta test this morning and I am heading over to Rival River pack to take Maddie to meet with Cassie, I know Joe is nervous, I can sense it through our strengthening bond, we may not be marked yet, but the things we have shared with one another has cemented our bond in a way I never expected. I can feel his emotions as clearly as Dave’s and I can sense his presence before I can see him. I hadn’t expected to feel this way until we were marked but I have a feeling this is not even the tip of the iceberg of feelings I will experience. Daisy - Maddie and I didn’t speak during the drive to Rival River Pack, I could tell she was deep in thought and I didn’t particularly want to talk to her either, I was still holding back, she could well be my future sister but I couldn’t help thinking she needed Cassie’s forgiveness before I could let her in. I knew some of the things that she had done to Cassie, and if Cassie could forgive her then I would too, but I have to admit, knowing Cassie, she will forgive Maddie just to keep the peace. Daisy POV - The drive back to Twin lakes is as silent as the drive to Roval River had been. I was going over everything that happened in Cassie’s office. I knew Cassie was going to forgive her, I knew she would give her blessing on their mating, I just knew it, I knew Cassie. But I wondered how much of what Maddie said had been true, I knew Cassie had believed every word, I had seen it in her eyes, but I was proud of her for her comments at the end, saying they would never be family. I think even Maddie believed most of what she had said. I didn’t know why, but I just couldn’t fully trust her, even now. How could someone treat another being the way she had all because she was told to? Dave POV - “Now that Joe has been added to our pack and ranks, I want to explain to you a bit about what is going to happen here in this initiation. I have been researching initiation ceremonies for the past few days to make sure I didn’t screw it up” A few chuckles carried to me on the breeze, “This one is going to be a little different from the usual ceremony. Cassie POV - Dave and Daisy have found a way to share our gift with others, I think it is amazing. I am sure the Moon Goddess planted that parchment somehow, she told me, when we met, that she would give us a way to spread the gift, that it was always a part of her plan, maybe, just maybe, we have proved to her that it is a gift she can trust us with, maybe she knows she can trust our judgement when it comes to passing the gift along.
