XAVIERA I found myself in the forest. Tall trees with dark green leaves, rich leaves, swaying under the merciless assault of the cold wind. I strolled through the intimidating bodies of wood, leaves and hooting owls, unsure of what I was searching for, or where I was going. Far ahead, there was a river, and even from this distance, I could tell it was still, and glistening. I headed towards the river, through the troubled forest. Aside from the waving leaves, tall trees, hooting owls and the occasional flapping of bird wings, I seemed to be alone. Or I thought I was. Sounds of howls tore through the air, and in a flash of light, two huge wolves ran past me, one on my left, and another on my right gunning for the river. The still water before me erupted into troubled waves, powerful currents clashed against each other, threatening to swallow me up, pushing me back to the fire that waited to consume me.
