“Ivy, you don’t have to agree if you don’t want to.” Luke’s voice was firm, resolute in opposing her decision. “It’s alright, Luke.” She turned to him, gently reassuring. “It’s just a conversation, don’t worry too much. I trust that your father doesn’t have any ill intentions. Don’t let minor matters upset you, and more importantly, don’t disrupt the family’s harmony.” Ivy’s words were reasonable and considerate, effectively diffusing the tension.
