What exactly was I?

Jovita's POV My father led me down a large, well-lit hallway lined with several wonderful artistic paintings. Everywhere in the castle was painted white from the look of things.“What happened to Grandma?” I asked as we took a bend.“She was poisoned, no one knows by who yet, but we have suspects. Her physician needs to make a portion, but he needs a flower that only grows in the garden only you can enter”.He was watching me as he spoke. The sad look in his eyes had not faded.“Because I bear the sacred mark?”“Yes”.“Why do I bear it?” I had a million questions to ask. My father better be prepared.“You got it from your grandma's child, she was the last to bear the mark”.“So I'm a witch and a werewolf then?”He threw me an assessing glance, a smile plastered on his handsome face, though the smile did not reach his sad eyes.“I’m not entirely a witch child, but my mother is, so you're more than just a witch and a werewolf”.My head was swimming with information right now. You need your wolf...

Jovita's POV When I pulled away, we continued walking until we reached a black, large door. Versant and the others were already waiting for us.“This is the sacred garden. Currently, only you and my mother can open it. You bear the sacred mark so nothing would dare to attack you, but you must be careful. If you need my help, call my name”, my father said, hugging me tight.“But you can't enter”.“I wouldn't mind if it comes to you”.“What happens if you enter?”“The spirits would attack me since I don't have the mark that scare them away”.Then I'm not calling on him, I said to myself.“What I'm going to do when I get in?” I felt a little bit scared, but I have been considered weak all my life since I didn't get my wolf early. If this was a chance to be strong and save my grandma's life, then I was ready to take the risk.“You'd see a dandelion growing in the middle of the garden. We need a flower to prepare the antidote for her”.“Okay”.“Are you ready?”“Yes”. I wasn't sure I was,

How…what do you mean?

Jovita's POVI woke up in a strange room, with high ceilings that held dangling chandeliers. I turned to my side to take in my surroundings. The room was painted white and everything else in it. From the soft king-sized bed I was laying on, to the closet, curtains, tables, armchairs and many other things that lay around the room.I rubbed my head trying to figure out where I was, and what was happening when I heard my father's familiar voice outside the door, and then the click of his shoes on the white malleable floor.Moments later, the door popped open and he walked in. He was wearing black pants, plant T-shirts, black boots, and a long furry black coat that grazed his boots. His silver hair was packed in a bun, matching his silver eyes, and highlighting the structure of his beautiful face. He looked gorgeous. I made a mental note to ask him how old he was.“How're you feeling?” He asked, taking a seat beside my bed.“Much better”.“Thank you so much for the flower, the physician h

Something happened to Jayden

Jovita's POVWhen I opened my eyes, I was still sitting on the floor in Gibson’s bookstore. Jayden’s strong arms were tightly wrapped around me, and a worried-looking Gibson was dapping his body with a wet towel. Jayden's body was blazing hot.Gibson's green eyes brightened with relief when he noticed I was awake.“How're you?” He asked.“I'm fine. What happened to Jayden?”“You don't feel weak or faint?” I didn't know Gibson cared about us this much. He looked like a father in distress. I guess we were growing on him.“I'm fine. What happened to Jayden? Is he unconscious? And why is he heating up?” I could barely take the heat emanating from his body.“Yes, he's unconscious. He wrapped his arms around you when you began your journey and was quietly waiting for you. But suddenly he jerked and went still, muttering your name. He seemed to be having a vision. When he came out of it, he said you were in danger, and you needed his help. He exclaimed the situation and the only way he could

Would you disobey me?

Jovita's POVI heard Gibson drop on the floor as an excruciating pain took over my head. My head was filled with several jumbles of thought that made me feel like I was running mad. Eric was messing with my head. Jayden had once told me that he had the power to pick brains, though he didn't explain that it could be this horrible.I felt like I was going to lose, and I felt tears running down my cheeks. I couldn't even scream, I couldn't think. And suddenly it stopped. I looked up to see Phil in front of me. He was glaring at Eric, and I could see shudders running down his spine.“Stopped”, he ordered Eric.Eric looked shocked.“Get out of my way, man, I won't hesitate to hurt you in her place”.Phil took a deep breath.“I'm giving you an order as an Alpha. Would you disobey me?”Eric glared at him, but he stopped. Taking in a deep breath. His eyes instantly returned to normal.“She almost killed our friend, Phil”, Eric barked.“She didn't. He had a choice, and he chose to save her. S

Did he tell you that?

Jovita's POVI continued running, unsure where I was going until I heard footsteps behind me. A strong hand grabbed my arms, and I turned to see Phil.“Let me drop you off at home”, he said, pulling me with him.I wanted to protest, but there was little I could do. It was already late to find my way home alone, and Jayden's house was quite far from mine.“I'm sorry”, I mumbled, when we got into the car.Phil turned to stare at me perplexed. “For what?” Phil was so mature. He was the right person for Maddie.“That I put him in that state, yet I can't help him”.“You didn't put him in any state Jovie, he made a choice, one I would gladly make for my mate if I were in your case. I'm not sure he would be happy to see you blaming yourself this way. Besides, if you could help, I'm certain you would. Conan was wrong to bring up the rumours and Eric was wrong to hurt you. Please forgive them, they're all tensed”.I nodded.“I'm not holding any grudge”.We drove in silence for most of the path

This must be serious

Jovita's POVPhil looked at me with a crestfallen expression, and I already knew his answer before he said it.“I'm sorry Jovie, but not yet. They say he keeps mumbling your name”.The fact that he kept calling my name in his weak state warmed me, but the sadness of knowing he was still not awake was overwhelming.Maddie pulled me into a hug and led me inside.I greeted her parents and then followed her upstairs to her room. Her room was on the third floor.Maddie’s large room was big enough to comfortably hold three queen-sized beds. It was painted peach and white. The curtains were all white and expensive-looking. In a corner was her king-sized bed laid with a white bedsheet. Besides it was a dressing mirror and a white drawer. A white comfy cushion was slouched at the corner of the room, and a small passage led to her walk-in closet filled with designers. A large glass door separated the bathroom from the bedroom. The large bathroom consisted of a shower, toilet, and a Jacuzzi.Bac

Was I dead?

Jayden's POVI woke up in a strange place that looked like a forest. I was lying face up, so I wasn't certain where I was yet. The blinding rays of the sun hitting my eyes probably woke me up.I pulled myself to a sitting position, my body was aching and I felt so weak. From the many lush trees and noises of different unseen birds, I could tell I was in a forest, though it was a beautiful one. It was filled with beautiful flowers and fruit trees with juicy-looking fruits. It smelt quite nice too. I stood up and started to walk towards a clearing. I could hear water sounds, so I guess there was a river nearby. The river was sparkling with beautiful, colourful fishes swimming joyfully inside it. I crutched on my knees, playing with the water and wondering how I got here.I hadn't heard my wolf in my head since I woke up. My wolf had never been quiet, and I was scared he had left me. I knew there were chances he would. Sharing my energy with Jovita meant risking my life and that of my w

Did something happen to him?

Jovita's POV I woke with a mild headache. My sleep last had been far from peaceful. I had a terrible nightmare that seemed very real. In the dream, the woman who claimed to be my biological mother was scolding me for endangering my life. The scolding lasted for probably an hour or more, and she made me promise her I wouldn't do something that stupid again. Funny enough, I promised her. I raised my head to see four worried eyes scanning my face. “What the fuck!” I screamed but sighed when I realized it was my bestie. They exchanged worried glances. “Were you dreaming?” Maddie asked. “No, just in my pre-wakeup state. Why the fuck were you staring at me like that?” Maddie placed a thoughtful finger on her jaw, leaning closer to me. “Your lips looked so pulp, and sexy that I wanted to kiss them”. “Pervert! Get off me”, I screamed, throwing her a pillow, and rolling from the bed to the floor. I ignored the pain in my butt as it hit the floor. I needed to run for my life. Anne and
