Jovita's POV

Phil looked at me with a crestfallen expression, and I already knew his answer before he said it.

“I'm sorry Jovie, but not yet. They say he keeps mumbling your name”.

The fact that he kept calling my name in his weak state warmed me, but the sadness of knowing he was still not awake was overwhelming.

Maddie pulled me into a hug and led me inside.

I greeted her parents and then followed her upstairs to her room. Her room was on the third floor.

Maddie’s large room was big enough to comfortably hold three queen-sized beds. It was painted peach and white. The curtains were all white and expensive-looking. In a corner was her king-sized bed laid with a white bedsheet. Besides it was a dressing mirror and a white drawer. A white comfy cushion was slouched at the corner of the room, and a small passage led to her walk-in closet filled with designers. A large glass door separated the bathroom from the bedroom. The large bathroom consisted of a shower, toilet, and a Jacuzzi.

  • Descendant of the moon goddess.   Was I dead?

Jayden's POVI woke up in a strange place that looked like a forest. I was lying face up, so I wasn't certain where I was yet. The blinding rays of the sun hitting my eyes probably woke me up.I pulled myself to a sitting position, my body was aching and I felt so weak. From the many lush trees and noises of different unseen birds, I could tell I was in a forest, though it was a beautiful one. It was filled with beautiful flowers and fruit trees with juicy-looking fruits. It smelt quite nice too. I stood up and started to walk towards a clearing. I could hear water sounds, so I guess there was a river nearby. The river was sparkling with beautiful, colourful fishes swimming joyfully inside it. I crutched on my knees, playing with the water and wondering how I got here.I hadn't heard my wolf in my head since I woke up. My wolf had never been quiet, and I was scared he had left me. I knew there were chances he would. Sharing my energy with Jovita meant risking my life and that of my w

  • Descendant of the moon goddess.   Did something happen to him?

Jovita's POV I woke with a mild headache. My sleep last had been far from peaceful. I had a terrible nightmare that seemed very real. In the dream, the woman who claimed to be my biological mother was scolding me for endangering my life. The scolding lasted for probably an hour or more, and she made me promise her I wouldn't do something that stupid again. Funny enough, I promised her. I raised my head to see four worried eyes scanning my face. “What the fuck!” I screamed but sighed when I realized it was my bestie. They exchanged worried glances. “Were you dreaming?” Maddie asked. “No, just in my pre-wakeup state. Why the fuck were you staring at me like that?” Maddie placed a thoughtful finger on her jaw, leaning closer to me. “Your lips looked so pulp, and sexy that I wanted to kiss them”. “Pervert! Get off me”, I screamed, throwing her a pillow, and rolling from the bed to the floor. I ignored the pain in my butt as it hit the floor. I needed to run for my life. Anne and

  • Descendant of the moon goddess.   Was that my wolf?

Jovita's POV I kept walking until I reached the meadow. To be honest, I'm not even sure how I got here, and I've been sitting here for roughly five hours. My phone is switched off so my besties can't reach me. Ramiel kept staring at me, but right now, I didn't even know what to say to him.I don't think I've ever felt this way before. I'm both scared and broken. Jayden doesn't want to see me? What if he hates me? What if he lost his wolf and realized it was not worth saving me for? What am I going to do without Jayden?“Exactly what you were doing without him”, my inner mind chastised.Over these couple of months, Jayden and I have grown inseparable, and now the thought of living life without him was quite unbearable.I wiped the tears that were pouring down my cheeks. I had probably cried a bucket today yet they kept coming. Was I a reservoir of tears or something?“I think we have an unwanted company”, a voice said in my head, and Ramiel began to growl. Wait, the voice in my head?

  • Descendant of the moon goddess.   Jayden?

Jovita's POV“Jayden?” I shrieked, surprised. What was he doing here? I had cried out a river because he didn't want to see me. Now he was in my room, sitting on my reading desk, and scanning a book I was reading. His brows were knotted and his hazel eyes were dark with anger. Overall, he still looks fucking hot as always. He is wearing black sweatpants and a black shirt. Gosh, I can see his fucking biceps, so hot!“I asked you a fucken question, mate!”“I…I…umm…I'm coming from the meadow”, I stutter. Why the hell was I nervous? This is all on him for refusing to see me. If he had opened his fucken door, we wouldn't need to be here right now.He stands up from the seat, coming to stand in front of me, and my mouth instantly dries up. Where in the world did he get all this sexiness?“Who were you with? And what do you mean by I refused to open my door?” Yeah, he read my thoughts.“I…was…with…it doesn't matter! If you had agreed to see me, I wouldn't have gone to the meadow in the firs

  • Descendant of the moon goddess.   So what happened?

Jayden’s POVI picked up the book on her reading desk “Passions of Emma”, as I waited for her to change. I smiled. I didn't know she was the book type. Jovita and I were more alike than I thought. When she finally stepped out, my eyes scanned her body, while she blushed. Fuck, I could never get enough of her.“Let's go”, she said, leading the way.I laughed, grabbing her slim waist and pulling her to me. I scooped her into my arms, surprising both her and myself. I could barely think straight when it came to her. I couldn't remember ever loving anyone this way.She kept protesting, but I ignored her, and only put her down when we reached the kitchen.“So what are you making?” I asked, already missing the feel of her soft body on my arms.“Patience Jayden, you can have her all night”, I chastised myself.“Chicken stir fry and meatloaf. It's quite late so I'm not making much”, she replied, taking out a pan. I still couldn't believe she could cook and I was kinda looking forward to tast

Jovita's POVHis kiss is slow, passionate, and teasing, sending me shivers. His mouth feels soft and warm just as always. His warm tongue runs over my lower lips before he sucks on it. I let out a moan involuntarily. My body is already ignited, and I feel that hunger in my lower belly. I've never felt this way before. This way I feel with Jayden. He cups my flushed cheeks, staring deeply into my eyes. His hazel eyes have taken a darker shade. His hands move to my hips, tugging at my shorts. His eyes flashed with amusement as he read the shyness on my face.“I could stop if you want me to”, he mumbles.I shake my head.“Say it”.“I don't want…nt you… to stop”.“You don't want me to stop what?”Gosh, he's driving me crazy. I don't know why I was I'm shy. There was nothing wrong with my pants.“We're going to meet up with the boys at the end. I don't want them staring at what's mine”. I felt my cheeks heat up at his last words, “What's mine”.“Why would they stare?”He looked at me like I had gone crazy.“The real question is; why won't they stare?”“I see nothing wrong with my pants, ladies jog and run in stuff like this. I'm not changing it”.“Fine, but if I see any of the guys’ eyes on you, I'm allowed to smash his face right?”I cringed, rolling my eyes. “Whatever. Your jealousy is unhealthy”, I said, running out the door before he could catch up with me.He was beside me in a second, his arms around my waist.“I'll take that as a compliment”, he mumbled. “Can you run?”I rolled

Jovita's POV“What do you think you're doing?” Maddie asks me as I'm dressing up.We're in the tent that was made for me and my besties, Betty, and I. I'm dressing up to go and join Jayden and the others on the battlefield. Things are getting tougher for them. This whole fight, as much as I hate to admit it, it's all because of me. If Jayden hadn't chosen to be with me, then all this won't be happening. I can't let anyone die because of me. Not anymore.“I'm going to join the others”, I say to Maddie, packing my hair in a high bun.“You’re not going anywhere”, Maddie replies, planting herself in front of me. Betty and Anne went along with the boys to fight, while Maddie stayed behind to protect me.It was agreed I wouldn't fight because of my supposed pregnancy and the fact that I was the major reason the fight was happening in the first place. Jayden’s POV“Are you ready?” Draco asks me.We're standing head-to-head with our opponents. It's time to fight. We're all in our wolf form, waiting for the battle line to be drawn. My uncle is visibly the largest wolf among us, though I'm slightly close to his size since I have two wolves. My Dad who insisted on fighting with us is standing a few feet from us. He is a warrior white wolf so he is almost up to my size. My pack’s council starts to walk towards us. They stop just a stone's throw from us. They're three extremely old great whites that have lived for probably a hundred years. They're revered and feared by all.“I see you went to join your son, Edward”, Castiel, one of the trio says. He is a handsome, well-built man, looking very much like he just reached his fifties. He is the leader of the trio.“He is my blood, and I believe he has a right to choose his love”, my father replies.“The pack comes before love”, Marcus says. He looks a bit older than Castiel.“I've always th

He asked me to leave, so why is he asking for me now?My uncle walks outside his castle to a black Phantom parked in front of the building.“Get in”, he orders, taking the wheel.“Where are we going?” I ask.“To see your mother”, he replies.By going to see my mom, my uncle meant going to see my mother's grave. He took her body that day, seven years ago, and he never let us see her again.“Why are you suddenly letting me visit her?” I ask, trying to control the emotions raging inside me.“Because she has been asking of you. She won't let me rest if I don't help you, so I don't have a choice. My uncle runs his hands through his black long hair as he starts the car.“Does she speak to you?” I ask after a while.“Yes. There are many things I want to do to you, Jovita”, he whispers in my ears, climbing on top of me, his weight supported by his hands. He is in a push-up position. His wet hair drips on my face, and I squirm, laughing. He places a soft kiss on my face before his hands start to explore my body. We haven't been this close since forever, and it feels good to hold him again.“It's fine, Jayden. You have to stop blaming yourself for your mother's death. You aren't the creator, and it was all bound to happen”, I whisper.“If only I had stopped her, things would have been so different”, Jayden replies.“It's the past now, and she would want you to let go of the guilt. She would want you to be happy”.“I don't deserve to be happy, Jovita”.“Of course you do”.“Everything I touch burns. Everyone around me gets heartbroken”.“You know that's not true”.“It's true, Jovita. I'm too shy to go out there to meet him in only a bra and panties. So I wear Jayden's shirt. I can't help but admire how his shirt smells like the rich cologne and the lovely smell I can only describe as Jayden. When I reach the pool, Jayden is already in the water. I can see water falling from his black hair. He smiles and pushes his hair back with one hand, his eyes twinkling with surprise.“Are you going to swim in that?” He asks, his eyes darkening as they take in my body. Impulsively, I tug at the bottom of his black T-shirt, trying to push it as far as it would go.“Yes”, I reply to his question feeling stupid. What was I so shy about? We've slept together about five times now.“Come on, are you shy, mate?” Jayden says, laughing.“I don't know”. I feel helpless right now.Jayden takes his bottom lips between his teeth, and I can s

I can't bear that”.“It's you I'm choosing no matter what”, I say to Jovita, taking her hands.“Jayden?” Jovita whispers, her eyes glossy from the tears that are building up.“Please don't refuse me, Jovita.
