Jovita's POV

“Those yoga pants look a little bit too sexy”, Jayden said when I came out.

His eyes were shameless raking my body, and there was a soft grin on his face, showing off his deep dimples.

“It's quite okay”, I protested, walking towards the door. There was nothing wrong with my pants.

“We're going to meet up with the boys at the end. I don't want them staring at what's mine”. I felt my cheeks heat up at his last words, “What's mine”.

“Why would they stare?”

He looked at me like I had gone crazy.

“The real question is; why won't they stare?”

“I see nothing wrong with my pants, ladies jog and run in stuff like this. I'm not changing it”.

“Fine, but if I see any of the guys’ eyes on you, I'm allowed to smash his face right?”

I cringed, rolling my eyes.

“Whatever. Your jealousy is unhealthy”, I said, running out the door before he could catch up with me.

He was beside me in a second, his arms around my waist.

“I'll take that as a compliment”, he mumbled. “Can you run?”

Jovita's POVI'm fucken pissed off with this whole lying thing. Each time I try to understand him, he seems to push me out. How the fuck do I know him when all he does is keep secrets. Plus I'm super pissed about how Jade was him, and the fact that he didn't see anything wrong with it.“The problem is that you only see your pain. It's not always about you!” I'm yelling right now. I have to keep it down before my nosy neighbours come over.“Just cut to the fucken chase, babe, what exactly are you angry about?” His voice is low, and his eyes hold a glint of impatience like he's tired of our conversation even before it had begun.“I'm angry that you left with Jade, I'm angry that you don't see it fit to share things with me. I'm always lost when it comes to you. It's like each time I come close, you find me a way to push me away”.“I left with Jade because she had an important message from the pack, nothing that serious”. I could see he was purposely ignoring the conversation and shuttin

  • Descendant of the moon goddess.   Do you have a death wish?

Jovita's POV I check my leather wristwatch for the third time. My besties are almost thirty minutes late, and I'm getting irritated. Maddie had asked us to meet at our favourite restaurant, the Queens, for a nice lunch, and to catch up on the latest happenings. I wasn't really in the mood to leave my house, but Maddie would not hear of it. I kinda woke up in a very bad mood.Jayden woke up and apologized for yesterday's argument, and for returning so late, but he won't still talk. What's wrong with him? Why does he have nightmares?I want answers to these questions, but I can't get them. He won't talk and I won't ask, because I'm ignored each time I ask.I'm getting quite frustrated with this whole thing. I'm not sure how long I can keep up with this.Jayden and I have not yet mated, so we don't share the mate bond which means I could still reject him as my Alpha, and he could reject me too. I hoped it would never come to that, but at this rate, I might just quit.I'm still brooding

  • Descendant of the moon goddess.   Jovita better be prepared

Jovita's POVBetty rolled her eyes, and adjusted her hair, though it didn't need the adjustment.“It's simple, make him want you”, she said.I look at her like she has gone crazy. If she was talking about sex, then my answer is a total no. I don't want to have sex yet.I know I'm nineteen, quite old enough, and most of my age mates, including my besties, were not in the virginity club, but I wanted to keep myself until I was sure. I kind of believe that it is a gift I would give to my mate when the time is right, or rather when we are ready to bond forever. “I'm not asking you to sleep with him, I'm just asking you to make him want you”, Betty intercepted, like she had read my mind.“How do you know what I was thinking?”“I'm a mind-reader”.“Seriously?”“No. I just guessed it's quite obvious from your facials.“Okay. So how do I make him want me?”“It's simple, play the game. Besides, you should know sleeping with him is the easiest solution”.“How?”“The mate bond. Once you guys bo

  • Descendant of the moon goddess.   Can you handle it?

Jayden’s POV When I open the door, I notice the room is dimly lit. Jovita is surely prepared to play with my senses tonight. I look around the room and find her sitting in front of her dressing mirror, brushing her long black. I'm still trying to compose myself, when she stands up, places her leg on the chair, and starts applying ointment on her skin. “He…y”, I stutter, unsure of myself. “Hey”, she replies throwing me a charming, dimpled smile, and focusing her attention on what she's doing. I take a step closer, then stop, thinking about my next move. I know this is a trap, but hell, this is one alluring trap. “I'm sorry for how I acted yesterday”. “How did you act yesterday?” She gives me a quizzical look, coming to sit on the bed. Damn, I knew this was going to be hard. “I mean, I shouldn't have reacted that way when I saw you with Seth because I left you in the first place, and staying away all day was not good either”. “Oh, that. Why're you apologizing now though?” Her

I could hear his heartbeat thumping in my ear.He turned to face me, taking both of my hands in his. “Promise me you'd stay even after everything you hear”, he asked. His hazel eyes searched mine, and I could see the fear deep within.“I promise”.“Come with me”.He leads me to the bed, and lies down, instructing me to do the same. I look at him, unsure. The dark lust I see in his eyes doesn't make me any less anxious.“I'm not going to fuck you Jovita, at least not without your consent”, he says, laughing.“Fine”. I lie down beside him, and he immediately wraps his arms around me, pulling the sheets over us. “Close your eyes”, he whispers.I obey, though I already have a thousand and one questions I want to ask.“Do you fee

  • Descendant of the moon goddess.   I have to go

Jovita's POV I open my eyes to see Jayden staring worriedly at me. “What's wrong?” I ask, sitting up. I notice it's morning already. The Rolex wall clock Maddie gifted me on my 19th birthday reads 1:00 am. Was I unconscious for that long? I only saw a little. I notice the area of the bed I'm lying on is soaked. “You've been out for too long, and your body is burning”, Jayden says in a soft caring voice. “I shouldn't have let you see it yet. I'm not sure you're strong enough”. Okay, that explains the wetness of the bed. I'm sweating badly. “I didn't see much, so don't worry”, I tell him. The creases on his forehead increase, and he pulls me into his hands. “What?” I ask against his chest. “You took so long to see very little and used up a lot of your energy. You're not returning until you're ready”. His tone is bossy and final, so I decided not to argue with him. Showing me his memories in the first place was a great act. My heart is still broken by what I saw. Jayden had a mis

I have to make her very happy before I break the news to her. It won't be easy to tell her I just killed her ex-best friend.“You better have a very good explanation. You left the house before daybreak, and now you're returning at dusk”, she mumbled, walking towards her room.“Have you had dinner yet?” Maybe I could start by making dinner, I reason.“No”. She looked surprised that I asked.“Can I make something for you?” I walk up to where she's standing on the stairs and pull her to me, my eyes scanning her body. She's wearing a short sleeveless, polka dot dress that perfectly highlights her curves. On her feet are a pair of white Zara slippers, and black hair is falling down her back in wavy curls. She looks appealing. She smiles. “Why're you suddenly wanting to make me dinner?”“Do I have to have a reason to? You look amazin

It's time to fight. We're all in our wolf form, waiting for the battle line to be drawn. My uncle is visibly the largest wolf among us, though I'm slightly close to his size since I have two wolves. My Dad who insisted on fighting with us is standing a few feet from us. He is a warrior white wolf so he is almost up to my size. My pack’s council starts to walk towards us. They stop just a stone's throw from us. They're three extremely old great whites that have lived for probably a hundred years. They're revered and feared by all.“I see you went to join your son, Edward”, Castiel, one of the trio says. He is a handsome, well-built man, looking very much like he just reached his fifties. He is the leader of the trio.“He is my blood, and I believe he has a right to choose his love”, my father replies.“The pack comes before love”, Marcus says. He looks a bit older than Castiel.“I've always th

He took her body that day, seven years ago, and he never let us see her again.“Why are you suddenly letting me visit her?” I ask, trying to control the emotions raging inside me.“Because she has been asking of you. I can't help but admire how his shirt smells like the rich cologne and the lovely smell I can only describe as Jayden. When I reach the pool, Jayden is already in the water. I can see water falling from his black hair. He smiles and pushes his hair back with one hand, his eyes twinkling with surprise.“Are you going to swim in that?” He asks, his eyes darkening as they take in my body. Impulsively, I tug at the bottom of his black T-shirt, trying to push it as far as it would go.“Yes”, I reply to his question feeling stupid. What was I so shy about? We've slept together about five times now.“Come on, are you shy, mate?” Jayden says, laughing.“I don't know”. I feel helpless right now.Jayden takes his bottom lips between his teeth, and I can s

I can't bear that”.“It's you I'm choosing no matter what”, I say to Jovita, taking her hands.“Jayden?” Jovita whispers, her eyes glossy from the tears that are building up.“Please don't refuse me, Jovita.
