X is sitting at a large espresso-colored desk with his head in his hands. He lifts his head up and looks at me, surprised that I’m still here or surprised that I just barged through his office without knocking, I’m not sure and I don’t care.
I walk over to him and sit on his desk in front of him, never breaking eye contact. “X, I don’t want to go, I just thought maybe you did,” I say gripping the wood beneath me.
“No.” He says shaking his head.
“I don’t care what the future holds anymore, I don’t care if it never goes anywhere or if it does, what I do care about though, is you, right now, today. I’d rather have this little bit of time with you than never have it at all.” I say losing my breath after my speech.
He stands up towering over me and bends down, taking both of his hands behind my neck and bringing me in for a passionate kiss. He breaks the contact and puts his forehead to mine, “me too baby, me too,” he whispers.
