Chapter 31 - Mrs Anderson knows all

Jayden's POV I didn't want to leave her alone because I knew exactly why she was called home. That bastard was home and her gold digging mother wanted to set them both up. It vexed me and made me feel as helpless as I was defenseless. I looked at the card I couldn't let go of as I tapped the horn of the car I was driving. The people who had snuck in had left behind their card and I would have considered it a mistake if it hadn't been nearly placed at the foot of the drawers l table. I had phoned the number earlier and we had agreed to meet at an ice cream shop in the next city. A long drive as that was why I needed to be sure Chloe was safe even though it was in the hands of my enemy for now. I was going to trust him because he had been laying low for a while now and I needed to trust him on that before losing my sanity, but there was also the call I got this morning from her mom.

chapter 32 - full body massage by shawn

Chloe's POVThe massage was going surprisingly well for a first time full body massage in a place like this. Their hands were so trained that I didn't feel any form of discomfort even though there was still the endearing pain in my left chest. That damned Shawn! I,  however couldn't stay angry at him, since he offered to help take the pain away, but I had refused. "So a full body massage, how-" I had a lot of questions given it was my first, but she had a reassuring look as I did as she had explained. "The room is soundproofed with top notch materials so you don't have to worry about being heard when you make those sounds," she smiled and I nodded."Thank you very much for this," I moaned some words of thanks to the masseuse who continued her hands in those parts of my body that needed all that tough kneading."It's our job to make you feel your best at the end of this as an esteemed customer,

chapter 33 - soundproofed rooms

I couldn't be more grateful for the fact that the rooms were soundproofed because his actions became more aggressive and my legs gave in. But even then, he didn't stop. His lips were on mine and he still held my hands over my head while his knees were doing inappropriate things down there. "Fuck this Chloe," he released my lips with a smack, "who is the bastard you've been giving all this too, uhn?" He glared at me as he brought his hand in between my cleavage and tore the disposable bra into two.I cried and tried to cover what I could to protect my nudity but I didn't stand the chance. Not against his masculine body and anmalistic force."That's none of your business, just let me go. I don't like what you're doing to me." "Is that right though?" He held my pink bud between his thumb and index finger and pinched it so hard that I screamed. "Yes!" "Then why is this so hard? You liar! All you ever do is pr

chapter 34 - CEO of the no 1 bodyguard company

Jayden's POV"You've sighed up to ten times and I've only just ordered my coffee, is there something bothering you?" The last man standing from the four tone sneaky match in the hotel room said as he leaned forward to drink his coffee using a straw. He had his right hand wrapped in a bandage and held in a strap and a couple of plasters on his face. He was wearing a suit too expensive and misfitting for this rundown coffee shop but the location wasn't a usual one either, because it was rare to find a coffee shop with over washed paintings on both the outside and inside and old wooden chairs for the guests who had expensive high grade cars parked on the outside. The location was difficult to find on the map as well. "You're either lost in thoughts or ignoring me, but j must let you know that if you hear me out, there is a ninety nine percent chance that you would find a solution in the conclusion that we come to together

Chapter 35- mother's family side

I took out my phone to check on Chloe's location while keeping my eyes on the rearview mirror for any changes in the Driver's emotion. I found it out and did a quick Google search that made me realize that I would be in a bind if I tried to reach her just like that. What better way to confirm the authenticity of this so called uncle's words than testing his authority. "Wait," I motioned to the driver as I dialed his number, "I need a favour," I said as I wound down the window of my side and turned to look at him as he bend over the door frame. "I would do anything for you, as long as it makes my sister happy," he said as he smiled at me. I looked between the driver and him as I explained what I needed. "Isn't that perfect? That spa is run by me," he said and I rolled my eyes."You own a security company, you can't fool me," I said and he raised his freehand in a surrender. "What I meant

chapter 36 - Shawn's power vs Jayden's rage

"I'm sorry I pushed you to him. I was wrong and foolish and I thought-" "Actually," she placed her head on my chest and wrapped her hand around my waist, "it's not your fault. I should have known he would do something like that." "No Chloe, you couldn't have known such a thing. There was no way for you to," I patted her head which she shook sideways. "No, it's not his first time," she said and that hit me in a place that unsighted rage and hatred for that basted, but I had to tone down my killing intent as Chloe needed to calm down. "What do- fuck Chloe, what didn't you tell me?" I gripped the door hold tight as I needed to put a hole into something. "He apologized and i thought, I thought he changed. I just didn't think he was going to be that forceful. I was really scared, Jayden," she started to sob so hard that I went into comforting mood. All my anger vanished as my top priority was to wipe her tears.

chapter 37 - loving is a mess

Chloe's POV "Don't, please don't do it. Don't get any blood on your hands," I pleaded as I cried blood but his heart was hardened and I could see the veins Poppin on his forehead.  "This bastard lay his filthy hand on you, so he had to pay with his life!" Jayden was always protective of me, but he was taking it too far at this point, because his attempt to save my life could ruin his.  "Nooooo!" I screamed as I closed my eyes and heard the sound of the trigger being pulled.  Did he shoot him? I couldn't let him take responsibility alone, I opened my eyes with the thought of taking the blame for him and asking him to leave the scene, but I woke up to a different scene.  "You're awake," he was beaming at me and I couldn't help but smile back as I looked up.  "Where is the gun?" I asked as I looked at both his hands.  "What gun?" He shrugged and placed the tray of food by my bedside.  I c

chapter 38 - Bad news on the TV

Chloe's POV"You don't have to do this, Chloe, in fact, I don't want you to. Just rest and-" "It's fine, Jayden, I promise," I got off the bed and pulled away the duvet I had wrapped around myself. "I know, but it's your mother. She's always demanding and stuff and I just don't want to put you around people that don't make you comfortable anymore, I could honestly pull them out of your life is you want," he said and I shook my head as violently as I could to get the message of my disapproval across. That would be my night mare coming to past and I couldn't afford for him to have blood on his hands. "If you're so concerned you can come with me. So far, Shawn hasn't made mention of Anthony that happened to my parents and my mother has never really gotten violent with me," I smiled at him but his pout remained. "I just want to squeeze your cheeks so much, my big baby," I got on tip toes and pinched his cheeks.

Chapter 39 - accident, your dad

"Why are being so dramatic? There were no casualties in the bomb blast and since when did you become an humanitarian?" I teased, as I was unable to understand her hysteria. "Not blast, accident, your dad!" I turned and gasped as the news had moved from the coffee shop tragedy to another one and the first thing I recognized was the car missing in the garage. "That's. Dad's. Car," I said word for word as I feel back into the chair with my eyes following the words in the screen and my ears barely catching what was going in around me. A drunk truck driver had run into dad's car and they collided head on. The trunk driver died on the spot, but they don't know about the other driver who was rushed to the nearest emergency hospital. "Dad," I called out as I felt my dress being dragged from my body and almost torn apart, but I couldn't react. I just sat still and stared ahead. The acciden

chapter 40- chance of survival

"How dare that lazy nurse tell me that I'm too agitated and who is she to call my husband a patient?" My mom was close to locking the doctor's coat on his neck when a hand reached forward and stopped her. "Stop it," Jayden scolded as he firmly grasped her wrist, his expression stern yet understanding. "Why? They won't let me see my husband, your father! How can they be so cruel. You, how can you support them?!" "Because we are not lazy and are trying our best. If you will come to my office, I will brief you about the situation when he came in, because to tell you the truth, his chance of survival is-" "Shh, don't tell me that, my husband is a fighter, so it doesn't matter your stupid chance of survival," she sneezed and Jayden hurriedly pulled his coat, ready to cover her with it when I heard footsteps approaching and turned to the back. I didn't know how to react when he jogged forward and ran up to mom. "Mom, I heard about the accident and rushed over as soon as I could," Shawn
