After another hour of waiting, Candy finally made her way down the stairs. She had applied light makeup on her face and had changed into a long, pale blue dress paired with leather boots. She looked enchanting. Compared to her looks earlier, she didn't look as heavily made up. "Sorry to keep you waiting, Mr. Ballard." Candy walked over to him, smiling. She handed him her handbag. She figured that Sebastian was a country bumpkin, and that she was doing him a favor by letting him carry her handbag. Even a wealthy heir would've happily jumped at the chance.
