EDEN POV I came to with a pounding headache and an aching body, ripping a small whimper from my lips as I tried to move my legs. Chapter 48 EDEN POV Raynor probably realized that where subliminal threats and attempts at unsettling me failed to work, pure, barbaric horror would. And kudos to his little strategy; it fuckin worked. I barely slept that night, squirming and turning in bed whenever a sheet grazed my foot. If I had thought maids who had their throats slit open and blood sucked dry from their bodies were terrifying enough, then what I saw during lunch in the noon was enough to kill me clean and square.
