Seris woke up next to Kael who wrapped her arms around her tightly like he was wrestling someone or his demons to stay away from her. Seris smiled at his cuteness, she never knew he had such a side to him. Today was the gathering of the celestials, she was nervous, but Selene kept encouraging her that it would do great. She thought about the events and was greatly perplexed. Who hates peace to the extent the person wants to destroy a thousand years of peace, and they possess the “god killer” an ancient relic that could kill a celestial like her. But wasn't the God stealer in her Selene's temple in the real of the god's? These thoughts ate her up as she wondered who among her brother's and sisters would have betrayed her. The meeting started with Arkea talking about how dead bodies polluted the ocean. Throne also spoke about the increase in black magic. “There is a great evil looming amongst us.” Throne said perplexed as everyone agreed. “Their target is Selene, and there is a possibility that one of us is working with the dark side.” Hades said as they all gasped. “That is impossible!” Thorlod's voice roared, unable to decipher the fact that a god would stoop so low to work with the dark side. “How did you come to this realisation?” Aethera said calmly. “The dark side is in possession of the god killer.” Hades said as everyone gasped except Seris and Nyx, of course, who knew about it. “The god killer was in Aethera's temple! So, how does the dark side have such a weapon that only we gods know about!” Arkea screamed furiously. “My temple? It was in your temple, Arkea. we can use Nyx's eyes to confirm if you think I am saying things falsely.” Aethera said in anger. “There is no need for my eyes

After a while, Seris and Kael walked into his meeting room where he settled down breathing heavily. He was finally calm. Apparently, Seris was gone for 10 whole days. He was frantic about it as he turned the Kingdom upside down as. He even thought of going into the enemy's territory. He was a hot mess, exhausted from 10 days of non-stop searching for Seris. His black hair was disheveled, and his grey eyes looked sunken from lack of sleep. Despite his rugged good looks, he appeared worn out, with dark circles under his eyes and a tired slump to his shoulders. Damn, this man has to be the goddess's favourite because, how can one look extremely hot even when worn out? Seris healed him immediately they got to the room. “You disappeared!” Kael immediately barked out. “I went to the realm of the gods.” Seris answered tiredly. The time difference catching up to her. “I woke up and you were gone!” He said again in a high tone. “You knew I would be leaving.” Seris said

The news of Seris missing was spread like wildfire, but her return was yet to make the gossip. “He can not take care of Seris! She should be with me.” A furious Kyle screamed as he threw the food on the table away. He has been actively trying to improve the pack and expand it. He was trying his best to be a better man for his true mate, Seris. “I'll starve you if you fucking pull this stunt again!” Estella said with and expiated sigh. What a dreamer, she watched her mate get angry over the news of someone else's mate and not just anybody, the King's mate missing. “Calm down Alpha, you can be arrested for treason against the royal family.” Raymond warned. Kael turned to Persephone and Raymond, ignoring Kyle as he locked hands with Seris. “We'll be taking our leave now.” Kael said as Seris waved and teleported out of their sight. “Kyle, what the fuck was that?” Raymond yelled as Persephone immediately took her baby upstairs. “I should be asking you that?
