Lucy Amos put him in the back of the jeep, and I climbed in after him, watching the blackness continue to spread across his body. His lips were turning black. Blood trickled out of his mouth. Panic welled up inside me as I reached out to him.David’s breathing grew shallower. Blood pooled around my knees. My chest felt tight as I could barely breathe around the sense of helplessness.“David,” I cried, fear gnawing at my heart. “What’s happening to him?”“Shit,” Trent yelled, climbing in the back as the jeep took off away from the forest we had just exited. His eyes were trained on the spreading darkness. He felt for a pulse and grimaced again.“Getting weaker,” he said and fumbled for his bag. “ETA to Maggie?”The jeep roared and lurched forward, picking up speed as the tires screeched on the ground. We bumped and bumbled through another patch of forest. Am

David I was hurtling through the darkness. The sensation of falling was so real that it clenched my stomach. But where was I falling to? Was there anything beneath me to catch me? Had I been falling before? No. I didn't think so. I couldn't remember exactly what I had been doing...Then, I saw something. It was a glimmer of light in the darkness. I could see fairy lights reflecting on the glass. I saw Lucy's bright eyes looking up at me with so much emotion that my heart hurt. I saw the moonlit garden whirling around us. I could hear the wind. I almost smiled as I fell through the memory as she twirled in my arms. Her laughter was like music, a melody that filled my heart with warmth and happiness. I could see her sitting across the table from me in the cafe. In that gown at the Blue Moon Estate...The shy little girl with curly hair at the orphanage...Lucy.

David   Fenris? My heart lurched. I knew that name. Fenris was the patriarch, the progenitor of the Blood Moon Pack's line... My ancestor. As I got a look at Fenris' face, I could barely think.  He looked like my father, not the same as if they were the same person, but very similar, but he had eyes that glowed blood red as he looked at Oren.  Oren smirked, cocky and arrogant, looking more like Tony and Matt than ever. "You're outnumbered, and your allies have all fallen. Shouldn't you give up? Yield, and I'll make your death quick." "Because of your tricks," Fenris conceded. "But you would not have met me here if you believed that was the end of it." My heart raced as I realized that I was witnessing a pivotal moment in the history of the packs. "You would have simply tried to kill me," Fenris said. "Though I suppose your pride would not allow it. Shall we begin?" I frowned. Oren had cha

David My vision blurred. I couldn't believe what I had seen. Everything I thought I knew about the Moon Wars, about the packs, about werewolves was wrong, and suddenly, the mural that guarded that passageway made so much more sense.I had to figure out where it led to and why. My mother had come through it, from where?I bit my lip. It had to have been from the White Moon Estate. I thought that was Selene's line. It would make the most sense for her to want to have a tight grip on Blood Moon, given the way this all started, but something told me that wasn't the case.Maybe... Maybe there had been another shifter line like mine?My eyes widened as the thought seemed to echo through me.Then, I heard running footsteps, and the darkness cleared to the sight of a forest through which Oren and Selene were making their escape, laughing tauntingly like two insane people getting away with murder. I set my jaw. Knowing that the werewolf

Lucy   "A feisty little thing. I can see why my sons had such fun with you." My gut lurched as I struggled and pushed. He laughed.  "Don't worry. If you relax, you'll enjoy it." I twisted, trying to kick back as he wrenched my arm up higher against my back.  "Doesn't seem like Xavier's brat has tasted you yet," he chuckled. "Good. Tony doesn't deserve to have to share with that punk... Keep it in the family, I say." He yanked me back and threw me onto the ground. I rolled away from him until my back hit the large boulder. He turned, palming his crotch as Selene shook her head.  "I had planned to let the twins have you only, but I see no reason. Perhaps a bit of time with Oren will teach you your place," Selene laughed, sitting above me on the boulder.  My pulse quickened as Oren closed in on me, his menacing presence sending shivers down my spine. I got from in front of the boulder, reme

Lucy   My eyes were already welling with tears. She didn't say anything, just leaned back, lifting her head and murmuring to herself. Tears slipped down her cheeks, and I shook my head, not wanting it to be true. Not knowing what it meant.  Trent got to his feet as she slid to the ground, sobbing. I followed, not believing that it could be true. I dashed into the room, my heart pounding with fear and uncertainty. My eyes burned with tears.  He couldn't be. He couldn't be gone.  "Scared the hell out of us," Trent said, his voice gentle.  Another woman wept quietly in the corner of the room, yet the image that met my eyes was one I had been yearning for. David lay on the bed, his pale and weakened form still, but his eyes were open. The darkness was slowly receding back towards the wound in his shoulder with little flickers of flame of different colors flickering in the open wound. His eyes were glowing. Instead

Peter A jolt of shock and disbelief surged through me as I processed Vasil's words. Stolen? When? How? "Stolen?" I repeated, my voice edged with frustration and desperation. "What do you know about the theft?"Vasil sighed heavily, his expression revealing his own disappointment. "It was taken just a few days ago... Right around the time you went into a coma. The theft was executed with an alarming level of sophistication. The museum's security was bypassed entirely. They're working on recovering the surveillance footage."I clenched my fists, my mind racing. It couldn't have been a coincidence that it was stolen around the same time I had dreamed of it. No, whoever stole the spear was connected to these dreams and the way the werewolf virus was acting in my body. The disappearance of it left me with a growing sense of unease. "Do they have any leads? Any information on the black market for it?"Vasil s

Lucy The world slowly swam into focus as I stirred, warmth enveloping me. I shifted slightly, my eyes blinking open, and found myself nestled against David. His eyes were closed still, fluttering with the remnants of a dream. He was breathing still.Alive.My heart fluttered with relief as I took in the sight of him. He was still surrounded by a faint, multicolored aura, but the difference from before was stark. He looked healthier and stronger as if life had surged back into him.The fire that had been burning in his wound was still going, but it seemed to be floating into the air, too."David?" I whispered.A faint smile played on his lips as he reached out and gently brushed a strand of hair away from my face. Slowly, he opened his eyes. They were like a captivating kaleidoscope of colors, and they held a spark of vitality and health."Hey," he murmured, his voice a little raspy but filled with warmth. "Miss me?"

Lucy After the fitting, as we left Gabriel's boutique, Stacy and I were both in high spirits. The anticipation of the upcoming Crescent Moon Festival made it feel like the attack and everything else had faded away.Stacy, always full of energy and enthusiasm, couldn't resist talking about the festival."It's a shame I won't be there, but promise to take plenty of pictures? And I want to hear all about it when you get back."I nodded, sharing her excitement. "I promise, but why can't you come?"She smiled. "Security risk. No magical dates to go with."I pouted. "We can't find you a supernatural date? I'm sure David knows someone?""My age?" She asked."He has... a lot of family.""We could be related!" She cried, grinning at me. "It's no rush, but I'll ask. Where is your paramour?"I winced. "He's... sick."Her eyes narrowed, and she nodded slowly. "Well, I hope he gets better soon...""

David I stretched lazily, letting out a contented sigh as the haze of sleep started to fade. The warmth of Lucy and I's shared moments lingered in the room, and Lucy's comforting scent still clung to my sheets. I couldn't help but smile despite her absence. Her thoughtfulness always managed to touch my heart.I reached for the note she had left on the nightstand. Her delicate handwriting was a familiar sight, and I read her words carefully. Hey, David,You looked so peaceful sleeping, so I didn't want to disturb you. Please get some rest and eat something. I'll come check on you after I finish my homework. See you soon!Lucy. The tenderness in her message warmed me. With a sense of gratitude, I folded the note and tucked it into the small book on my nightstand. I tried to sit up and groaned at the pain that still racked my body. It wasn't as bad, but it wasn't good either.&
