Chapter 3 - Shoulderblades

She wondered if her love was the root of her woesIf it was the reason for her unending sorrowsBut deep inside she knew it wasn't soFor love was the only thing that made her glowThe Moon was explicitly bright that night, and despite the late hour, even single trees in the forest growing behind Victor’s mansion could be discerned from a larger distance. It was a full Moon that had a mysterious influence on everything basking in the cold light of the majestic rock. Rapid cracks of dried-out branches broke out the silence. It sounded like an approaching storm. Heavy breathing filled the air from all directions. The echo of the blood-freezing sound was spreading throughout the forest. When the storm-like phenomenon climaxed, complete silence covered the space again. But one place still vibrated from the presence of some wild animals, and that was almost tangible. Muffled growling and sighs floated in the air. At the same time, a cloud obscuring the Moon moved, and when it became cri

Chapter 4 - Signature

She searched for answers in the dark of the night And found solace in the stars' flickering light She knew she was different, but that was okay For her uniqueness was what made her sway "Bianca! Wake up! Can you hear me? Wake up!" Victor shook Bianca while she was screaming on the sofa. She finally opened her eyes, wet from warm tears. "You’ve been having a nightmare!" Victor, clearly alarmed, gave her a tissue. "Here you are. You can wipe your tears." Bianca didn’t know if what she had just experienced was only a dream or not. She felt relieved seeing the light coming from an enormous chandelier which hung from the recessed ceiling. "I wasn’t here for just a couple of minutes. You must be exhausted if you fell asleep so quickly." "Actually…", Bianca said with a weak voice. "I’m not sure if I was sleeping." "What do you mean?" Victor raised his eyebrows in the characteristic of his way, making his nasal holes much bigger. For a second, he resembled a crow. "It wa

The wind on the tenth floor of the building was so strong that the pilot had to struggle to stabilise the machine. It was not the yellowish one with a big red cross at the front - it belonged to Victor - all black with a white crow at both sides.  Five people got out from the inside of the steel bird and rushed towards the door. A moment later, a cold light lit up Melany’s hospital room. It wasn’t long before four strong men in black suits surrounded her bed.  A doctor who brought them into the room plugged out a dozen wires keeping her alive and connected the unconscious body to another medical apparatus. Bianca needs to get her head around it. I don’t know if she would look happy among all the guests. I suppose we don’t need any unnecessary gossip.”  “Good point. You speak wisely, my boy.” Victor patted his shoulder. “We should avoid the extra fuss before Bianca is mature enough to meet our expectations. Instead, let’s take some fake pictures to have something to be devoured by these vultures.”    “Vultures? What vultures?” asked Samuel, narrowing his black eyes.

Chapter 7 - BANG BANG BANG

It was already 6 pm when Bianca finally opened her eyes. She touched the bedside table, expecting to find a light switcher - it was completely dark in her room - for a moment, she felt like she was in a grave. Fortunately, it didn’t last too long when she found it, and immediately, light uncovered the space around her. She was surrounded by old-fashioned furniture, making her feel like a princess locked in a tower. Then Bianca noticed something - a glamorous dress laid on the sofa. But it was not the end of surprises as a black envelope with golden stripes shone on top of that dress. An avalanche of disturbing thoughts came down on her. She was scared of the next step in Victor’s mysterious plan. The feeling was even more significant because she knew that it was unavoidable. The dress was all red and it had such a bright and intense colour that it looked more like a living essence than an ordinary fabric. Although she didn’t want it, Bianca immediately realised that she would

Chapter 8 - Dervel

Two horizontal light pales cut the forest in half as Bianca drove along the road. The sound of the thud still resonated in her head alongside the view of Victor’s ripped body. Not only that view completely shattered her, but also the smell which back then reached her nose together with steam floating from the still-warm body. She saw and felt it every time she closed her eyes - also there, while she was standing in the darkness among the trees. Bianca couldn’t believe that nearly on the same day, she met his granddad for the first time and lost him forever. Then other reflections appeared in Bianca’s head. Samuel kneeling in front of her and asking for her hand. The beautiful rings shone in the golden light like fabulous pieces of amber found on the shore of the sea. Now lying next to her, on the passenger seat, closed in the fancy navy blue box with silver initials: B&S. But the third ring - Crowolf - she didn’t understand what that was supposed to mean. The green clock on

Chapter 9 - High-heeled shoes

Nothing looked more Scandinavian than this place. The interior was smart and tasteful, but at the same time, the cold colour on the walls was deprived of any joy. Sitting there, you felt like rocks on the beach caressed by the ocean waves. You could get a taste of the ocean, but it could not put out your thirst. It was more like merciless torture, which was supposed to keep you alive in an endless desire for life. The man sitting by the table looked exactly like one of those rocks. He was like a piece of decoration which perfectly matched this place's atmosphere. A bare firm chest absorbed the light coming from the high ceiling. It wasn’t too muscular, but some crisp force emanated from him - the hidden heart inside pumped blood whose colour did not have to be necessarily red. If not for the black hair grown on his chest, he would look like a boy, not a man. But it was there, giving him a sense of maturity despite the boyhood traits. The cold hue of the man’s skin could not be

That’s why it was perfect for a hunt - no human eyes could witness the atrocities committed by the werewolves.Of course, no electricity was available in the cottage, so only yellowish candles dispersed the darkness inside. Male faces emerged one next to another with some glasses by their mouth filled with champagne, wine and different drinks. Smirks, sly smiles and loud conversations echoed with excited looks - an omen of something exceptional. The most prominent werewolves from Dervel’s pack gathered for fun to indulge their basic instincts and play the game of a predator and its prey.
