Eric POV As I sit there trying hard to remember different things, I realize how compromised my memory is. I vaguely remember my uncle and cousin attacking me, but I do not remember a lot. Likely a blessing given how damaged I had been. I fear if there will be any long-term effects. I lay there while everyone tries not to stare at me. “Okay enough!” I say harshly to everyone. They look up startled, “I cannot have you staring or not staring but waiting for me to remember something,” I say to them as their faces all turn various shades of red. “Sorry son, we are just as anxious as you are,” my mother replies softly. I know this is killing her, but I cannot remember any faster. “Perhaps leave me alone?” I suggest to which everyone disagreed. “We are not leaving you alone.
