Elias looked like he was going to pass out. His skin was paler than normal and clammy. Alexander had to help him out of the truck and into the elevator. The moment he let him go and moved forward to enter the code for the penthouse, Elias slid down to the floor. I wanted to help, but I was unsure what to do. When we arrived at the penthouse, Alexander easily pulled him to his feet. I followed closely behind them as they stumbled down the hall into what had to be Elias’s room. “Pull the covers back,” Alexander ordered. I hurried forward and did as he ordered before I stepped back. Alexander gently lowered Elias to the bed. He gripped the hem of his shirt and tugged it upwards. “Arms up,” he ordered.
