Mia POV.Waking up, I can taste chicken soup. When did I eat that? I remember throwing the bowl against the wall and it smashing to bits.That bastard fed me while I was unconscious, oh just you wait Fen. I climb down off the bed and stagger to the door. Ripping the door open, I come face to chest with a man I’ve never seen before. He has a scar on his face and I scream, slamming the door and stagger back, crashing into the chest of drawers.The door rips open, and Fen and Theo come running into the room. My hand is covered in blood. I caught my side on the corner of the drawers and fell. Black dots dance in vision, but I blink them back. Fenrir POV.When Theo left the office, I knew he was right. Mia needs to be approached differently, and she needs her freedom. Theo will take her home, and I won’t stop him as much as it hurts. I know she will find her way back to us, eventually.I am in the wrong about this and as much as I don’t want to admit this; it is my fault for uprooting her, but all I’m wanting to do is protect her. Her ex Calvin has proven to me that she is not protected in the slightest and she can’t protect herself. Mia POV. The steady beeping coming from the side of me wakes me up and all I see is white. The smell of disinfectant hits my nose and I frown. I’m in a hospital bed and I can breathe. He can explain what happened.” I nod as she brings me a glass of water. “Sip it, you have been out for over 24 hours.” I nod my head, thanking her as I sip the cool refreshing liquid, laying back down. Fenrir POV.Leaving the room, I make my way towards the canteen and see Theo already there, buying food for Mia.“Hey, how did she take it?” he asks as he orders coffee for us both and pays for the food.“Mia was calm, too calm. She wasn’t shocked or upset. She listened to what I had to say, but she isn’t the same. I know she wants to leave, and maybe we should let her go home and keep an eye on her.” I sigh as I thank the lady after she hands us our coffee.“I agree. It will be hard the bond is calling to her, but I know this is a lot for her to take in.
