Rainn When Liam called us all down to the basement, I was worried at first. I haven't seen him or talked to him very much as of late. I was very surprised to see a shifter in the cell and both Mercer and Addie confirmed that this was the guy from the bar and the jaguar shifter that was in Tabby's apartment. When he asked Elodie to interrogate the guy, I looked at Addie, "We don't have to stay here for this, we can go do something until they are done." She looked at me like I was crazy, "There is a huge possibility that he kidnaped my best friend and who knows what else I'm staying." "Elodie is not gentle in her tactics and Calliope helps on really tough ones. It almost never ends well for the person being questioned." "Rainn, I said I'm staying." There was a finality in her voice that left no room for argument. I knew if I continued, she would lose her shit on me, so I let it go. Calliope was chanting very quietly, and the guy looked panicked. "Why can't I move?" Elodie l

Adalyn We all headed upstairs to our rooms to get showered and dressed. When I was finished and got down into the kitchen, Ophelia had started breakfast and we all sat down and ate. The smell of bacon brought all the men in. Rainn looked around at all of us, "And just where do you all think that you are going?" Mercer cleared his throat and Elodie laughed, "We are all going to the mall to get our dresses and everything else that we need for the ball." The look that she was giving him was daring him to question her and of course he couldn't help himself. "After everything that has been going on you guys think it's a good idea to go to the mall. We will be accompanying you." I was starting to get upset, "No, none of you will be accompanying us, we are all very capable women and I think that we can handle dress shopping on our own. "Addie, you saw first-hand that he wants to kill or capture all of you and you think it's a smart decision to go to the mall without us?" My hands start

Malik Sitting in the car on the way to the castle, Liam and I tried to pass the time with a game of I spy, but that eventually got old, and I was left in my thoughts. I've lived a very long life but alone. My parents abandoned me when I was just a child. I lived on the streets for a while until some other demons found me and took me to Beherit. As a child, I thought he was larger than life. He showed me how to control my demon side and he also is the one who helped me with my dream walking. I didn't find out until much later as an adult just what kind of person he really was. When he thought I was old enough and strong enough, he gave me a job as his enforcer. It was a horrible job and I hurt a lot of people trying to make him proud. He was like the father I never really had. One day changed everything. We got sent to a home in the next town. Beherit said it was a dangerous enemy that needed to be taken out, so we surrounded the house. I burst through the front door and started cleari

Adalyn When I woke up, I had a horrible headache and was pinned on the bed. I felt the warmth and knew that it was Rainn. Then the memories hit me, I panicked. Rainn must have felt it run through our bond because he was immediately awake and holding me. I looked at him, “Rainn what did I do?” “My love you are ok, Theo and Ard’al seemed to have figured out who and what you are.” I pushed him off and ran into the bathroom. I did my business and splashed water on my face. I had no idea what took over me when I killed those men. They deserved death but not necessarily from me. I went back out and Rainn was already dressed. “I figured that you wanted to have the meeting with them right away, so I already set it up.” “You are simply amazing Rainn; I love you so much.” “I love you too, we will get everything figured out and then we can travel the world if you want to.” “Oh my god, a vacation sounds amazing right now.” Rainn laughed and pushed me gently toward the closet for me to

Adalyn We packed up all our things, said our goodbyes to all our new friends and headed for our cars. Ard’al warned us that Oliver had contacted him and that they had tracked Tobias and Octavia to Seattle. “What do you want to bet that they are running to Typhon”, Ezra said. “He will die for what he did to Delilah”, Malik growled. “Ok big boy, calm down. I want to kill him just as bad as you do”, Delilah cooed at him. We loaded up and started the four-hour drive back to Seattle. The ride home was very different, everyone was quiet. Malik and Delilah were cuddled up in the back, Liam was staring out the window, and Rainn was staring forward with his hand on my leg. His thumb was rubbing circles on my thigh and I was starting to fall asleep. “Go ahead my love, I’ll wake you up when we get there.” I curled up in my seat with his hand settled between my thighs and let the darkness take me. “Adalyn we are home”, Rainn said waking me out of my dreamless sleep. He kissed me on the forehead
