Chapter 11: Poor Little Zehra

Zehra's face paled as tears dropped from her eyes. She was scared of Cade doing what he said to her. The pain of being disrespectful is too much for her to bear. Zehra is a she-wolf who was highly respected not because she was a princess but because the Northern Wolf respected women. They are equal to men regardless of their rank. "This Alpha is too much, Zehra!" her wolf commented. "How dare he treat us like this!""This man is a rumored murderer. He's ruthless. He can have what he wants, even killing a whole kingdom just to obtain what he wants," Zehra agreed. "If only our mate-"Zehra and her wolf's small talk interrupted when Cade gripped the sleeve of her light nightgown and yanked it down. The soft cloth yielded to him, ripping down slowly. The nightgown ripped and fell down, leaving her arms bare. Zehra had a thin white slip, which was sleeveless, that ended on her mid-thigh, revealing hints of her cleavage and her long legs. The moment Cade's eyes made contact with the col

Chapter 12: Even Moon Goddess Forsaken him

"This is against Lord Fenrir's principle, Cade," came a voice as Cade turned to face Suzane, Letisha's sister who married Cade's father's brother and lost her title as the former Queen. Suzane married her real mate after the King's death, her husband. Cade stretched as his servant removed his armor. He then turned his attention to his mother. "You wouldn't be my mother if you didn't question, would you?" he replied. "You got what you wanted," Suzanne spoke as she circled in. "And now what?" she asked, her eyes peering at him. "I'll claim her as mine in front of Lord Fenrir and the people." He spoke like it was the most obvious thing possible. "You will, but one of your consorts. Nethaira is already their Queen; you can't just throw her away. People had come to like her," Suzanne said. A cold chuckle left Cade's lips as he bent down, dismissing his servant. "Was that a statement or a question? Because as far as I remember, I am not six, and you are not the Queen of this Kingdo

Chapter 13: Meeting the Family and the strange brother

Zehra's heart beat so loud. She was just reading the sacred book of Wolf Code by her elders to calm her heart from uneasy thoughts clouding her. She closed it gently, her heartbeat rising as she took in his rugged warrior look. His face was tanned with a layer of sweat and dirt, his eyes cold and dark. Cade's long hair was running wild like the fierce mane of a lion instead of the wolf he was. And the sword that hung from his torso scared Zehra the most. She heard a lot about Cade. Despite being a werewolf, he loved to use his sword rather than his teeth and claws. He loved chopping bodies and severing heads with that sword of his. Cade leaned down, and his lips pressed to Zehra's neck. She felt her body stiffen as her breathing grew. "You can't…can't touch me like this. It is a sin for both of us," Zehra said, trying to push him away from her. A deep chuckle rumbled on Cade's throat as she felt his soft lips replaced by his teeth. He started to suck and bite the place just above

Chapter 14: The man in the Garden

"It's nice to meet you finally," Lorkan said, giving Zehra a charming smile. Cade's eyes narrowed at his gesture. He clenched his fits in anger as a million thoughts passed his mind. Lorkan has a bubbly personality despite being ruthless like him in a battle. He can easily make any she-wolf fall for him. And this idea made Cade very angry. Cade has always been possessive and has always been controlling. It was in his nature, and it was something people around him had to live with him. Being controlling, his people became loyal to him, whether out of respect or fear. It didn't matter as long as they were devoted to him. And being possessive, he never let any enemy breathe near his territory or things he loved so much. Zehra passed a small smile to everybody as she sat, looking around at the food. All of it was pure meat since they were werewolves, something she was not used to seeing at home. Although she loves meat, she also adores seafood and craves it right now.The maid served

Chapter 15: The wolf showed her canines

"You can't touch me like this," Zehra remarked, freeing her hand from the man, ending the flow of tingles. She isn't aware of what those tingles were for. It wasn't like the tingles you got when you were electrified, but some good tingles and every part of her body wanting it. Zehra has been told that Northern wolves could only meet their mates by a strong, unique scent they can only smell. Whatever those tingles meant scared her. "My apologies, my lady," the man spoke, letting go almost immediately. Zehra sighed in relief as she turned to face him. "I didn't mean to offend you in any way," the man said with a warm smile and heartwarming dimples. "I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Argus."Zehra eyed him carefully. She thought that maybe Argus was Cade's twin brother or something since she could see the same resemblances and probably the age. "You are his twin or something?" she asked him. "No, we're not twins but half-brothers," he answered, correcting what she said. "Whatever.

Chapter 16: Possessive King

Zehra decided to forget what the Queen and the King's Mother told her. Didn't they realize she was here not because she wanted it but because it was Cade who forcefully took her? The ruthless King has to use violence just to make their kingdom surrender. And Cade won't stop until he gets what he wants. And those women probably thought she liked it, too. To hell with them. There was a knock on her door, and Zehra held back her breath, wondering who it was. Was it the Queen? She breathed deeply, calming herself before opening the door to find Argus standing outside. His warm brown eyes met hers, and his lips curled up in a smile. "Uhm, the cook told me you missed the dessert, and I thought you wanted to try it," he said, offering her the tray with a silver plate covered with a silver cover.Zehra took the tray, offered him a smile, and muttered a thank you. "That is my favorite dessert. I hope it'll suit your taste, Princess," Argus added.Zehra smiled at her before closing her d

Chapter 17: Envy

Zehra shifted her weight as her eyes began to flutter open for daily prayer to the Moon Goddess. She rubbed her eyes, sighing softly, and felt so sleepy right now, and maybe she could sleep more until Ember came to wake her up.It was not a childish act, but she was sleepy, and Ember would definitely come to wake her, so in a way, it was a really logical idea to get more sleep. Pulling the blanket over her, Zehra turned to her right and closed her eyes before freezing. "Someone was breathing! Someone was next to me!" She panicked. She almost had a heart attack when she opened her eyes before screaming loudly. "Goddess! What kind of dream is this?" "This is not a dream. Now stop screaming and go to sleep," Cade, who woke up by a screaming coming from Zehra, said. He didn't like the ringing in his ears."No! This is wrong! You have wife and -"Cade shut her up by pulling her to his chest. Zehra wanted to push him away because it felt so wrong, and yet, and yet, it seemed so right.

Chapter 18: Will be Dethrone

"This is the King's order, woman," Nethaira lied. The moment Nethaira spoke about Cade, Zehra calmed down."These were all the King's words. So accept it and wear it tonight," Nethaira said before she left in a hurry. She knew he would be furious when Cade saw Zehra, but she had already planned it. She knew Cade wouldn't suspect her. Zehra sat in her room, slipping on the pair of earrings, her heart beating hard. She was dressed in the clothing that Cade gave her. It was closest to Maha's dress, showing more skin and her belly button, exposing her thin waist to everybody. She had wrapped her longer scarf around as much as she could, but she felt angry and embarrassed. If she refuses to go, what will Cade do? Will she take Ember away from her? What could have been worse than demaining her like this? Ember. She doesn't want him to take her away. Not ever. Slipping on the mistress' mark she wore, she looked at herself in the mirror. She was going to hate him forever after this. Not o

Chapter 19: The Brooch of the Royal and the truth about the King

"Stop! Stop, please stop!" Zehra groaned as soft moans left her lips. Cade's lips felt soft, sending shivers down her spine whenever he touched them. Cade didn't stop. It seemed like he couldn't, and he knew it was true. "You are my future Queen and mate! I have the right to kiss you. You are mine!" Cade growled in her ears. Zehra shivered as his hot breath fanned her neck, and everything he had done to her went through her mind. "I don't want to be your Queen! I don't want to be mated with you! You are a monster! I'm not yours!" she spat on his face. Not liking what she said, Cade bit her on the skin below her ear roughly, causing her to whimper. "Nobody will dare to take you away from me, Zehra," he warned. "Even if you meet your mate, he will end up dying before you."Zehra tried pushing Cade away, but he caught her hands and roughly pinned them to the bed's headboard, making Zehra scream in pain. Her eyes watered as she writhed in pain. Cade's strength was no joke, and Zehra

Chapter 20: The Queen he Wanted

Zehra sat down at the table for lunch next to Letisha, who passed her a soft smile. She had fallen asleep only at dawn the next morning when Letisha left. At exactly noon, she had been woken up in time for lunch by the King's order. Zehra had not eaten anything since yesterday, so she didn't mind being woken up. She was dressed in a plain blue abaya and tied her long hair in a tight bun. She didn't mind wrapping her head again because she had already broken the Moon Goddess dress code. Her white-as-cloud hair was now free for everyone to see. Cade looked at her, his eyes fixed on hers as he saw her sit. He hated how Zehra didn't look at him with her beautiful brown eyes. He hated how her silky long, silky hair tied and hidden away from him. Everyone uttered a prayer for Fenrir, but Cade didn't feel kike closing his eyes. His entire body seemed to be restless. The wolf in him, the conqueror, and the lover in him seemed to want Zehra in more ways than she gave him. Cade wanted all
