On this sunny day in Palermo, I found myself sweeping over the dirt off the driveway, and wondering about my upcoming 28th birthday. I was seated by the side of my mom in the hospital bed, it was peaceful watching her sleep. I muttered a Prayer and hoped the heaven heard me. My stomach grumbled, giving me a quick reminder that I haven't eaten all day, checking the time on my cellphone, it was 15 minutes past 9.
