Christmas was fast approaching and so were the coldest days in winter. Mrs Greenwood had just been informed about her pancreatic disease. It wasn’t mentioned how many days she had left to live but, her days weren’t promised either. The ride from Gayus BioSystems in London was one of the longest rides she had ever taken in her life. The first one was the ride out of Greenville on the day she left Fredrick Hughson at the doorstep of his grandmother. The second, well, the second wasn’t as long as the first, but it could count, she had intentionally forgotten another of her sons at daycare. She really was a bad mother… but who could blame her?
