The morning soon came which meant it was time to leave, by tonight I’ll be back home getting ready to start work again tomorrow. This week has been the most fun I have had in years which makes it bittersweet to leave, yes, I miss my home and can’t wait to see everyone. But in some odd way, it feels as though this place is where I really belong and leaving it is causing my heart to ache. Being here in the middle of nowhere deep in the woods, has been the only place I haven’t had to deal head on with what had happened. I jolt awake to the sun blinding me, I sit up straight a little where I was initially disorientated, my brain hadn’t quite remembered what had happened yesterday and where I was. I battle my way deeper into the woods, with every step that I would take further, the thicker the woods seemed to get around me. I suspected the woods would thin out soon and I’d be able to find a main road, from then it would be smooth sailing to finding a town to help me. But with every tree that I would pass, even more would appear ahead of me, it was as though this wood was never ending. I begin to get lightheaded as I went, my body was begging me to turn around or even try to get some water, but I couldn’t hear any running water which would indicate a stream was somewhere close.
