Bella’s Pov “Let me go.” I cried as I tried to wiggle out of Lucas’s tight hold. His told tightened even more making it nearly impossible to move. He refused to listen to reason and leave when they clearly were blaming him for what they did. He wanted me to sit here while every single person tried to deceive us. “Relax.” He demanded in a deep and deadly voice that had me faltering. Bella’s Pov I looked up at the huge building in front of me and took in all the glass. “Is the whole building made of glass?” I asked as Lucas closed the car door for me. It couldn’t take my eyes of the massive building. It would be impossible to have any privacy for the lower levels of the building because I could literally see every single person that was moving around or sitting at their desks. Was privacy not a thing here? “Your grandfather found a way to make weather resistant glass that can withstand anything. Bella’s Pov I stiffened as I took in the anger that was in my lawyers eyes. It was like he flipped a switch that had his emotions going hay wire because not even a second ago was he looking at me with soft and loving eyes.Any argument I had left within an instant because I could tell just by the way he was looking at me that he would not accept my defiance. Lucas’s Pov (a few days later) The conference room as I walked in was eerie silent. I didn’t have to look around to know that Victor had not yet arrived. Even though I wasn’t the one that called the meeting somehow my father and everyone else still acted like they were looking at a ghost. Whenever I looked at someone they quickly looked down and were busing themself with either their phone or some paperwork. It seemed like I had instilled feel in everyone here. When I got to my father he looked up at me with a forced smile. “How is everything going for you?” He asked as he looked back down towards his paperwork. I was silent as I sat down in my seat and turned my attention towards everyone that was sitting around the table. It seemed like everyone besides Victor and Bethany’s father were here yet. I already knew that Victor would be throwing his anger and resentment towards me as soon as he got here. He most likely regretted choosing me instead of someone else to marry Bella.

Bella’s Pov “Tell the guard to open up the gate now.” I ordered my lawyer as I crossed my arms over my chest and narrowed my eyes. The anger I felt was only increasing because I had ordered our guard to open up the gate for over an hour just for him to completely ignore me.
