Chapter 31 Jealousy

Credence stood by the window and held his phone tightly. He could feel his jaw grinding in rage! At the thought of Dorothy's enchanting appearance being enjoyed by Juelz, his face hardened at once. He had the sudden urge of pulling the woman out of his phone screen. He wanted to pin her down beneath him and made her beg for mercy... "Credence, you seemed to be mad. What happened?" When Rosalie spotted Credence's sullen face, a sinister smile flashed across her face for a fleeting moment. Credence did not give her a reply. He lit a cigarette and walked away. "Have a good rest. I have something urgent to take care of right now." Even though he was burning with fury, he still managed to exude a mature and mysterious aura, which looked particularly attractive to women. Rosalie fixed her eyes on his tall and slender back. And then, a smile grew wild on her face. "Dorothy Fisher, the show has just begun. Please make sure you hold on for a little long

Chapter 32 What Are You Trying to Do?

Credence walked across the hall, all the way to the suite's bedroom. He reached his hand out and slowly pushed the unlatched door open. Then, he was greeted with a scene that caused his blood to boil. Fifteen minutes had passed since he departed from the hospital. He was shocked to see Dorothy was still nestling comfortably in Juelz's arms. Her eyes were closed, and her lips curled into a smile. He stood rooted to the spot for a long time with no expression on his face. It was as though he was enjoying the loving scene. However, if Jonathan or Marvin was by his side at that moment, they could easily tell that he was absolutely pissed. The calmer Credence portrayed himself, the more furious he was inside. Most importantly, it was a sign of impending doom for someone. "Juelz Sherman, since you wish to die, I'll grant your wish!" he muttered under his breath. Then, he slowly unbuttoned his shirt's sleeves and rolled up his sleeves to his elbow.

Chapter 33 No! Let Me Go!

"Stop! Let me go!" In desperation, Dorothy raised her hand and was about to slap it across Credence's face. Unexpectedly, her wrist was firmly clamped by Credence's thumb and index finger. She struggled, but she could not break free at all. Dorothy could not fathom why he refused to let her go. She did not understand why he wanted to touch her body despite hating her. She was obviously the one who was hurt, but he treated her like a sinner instead. Credence  grabbed a clean, white towel from the towel rack. He then covered it over her lips, rubbing them with force. As he exerted more strength, the towel tore a layer of skin off her lips. In an instant, blood could be seen seeping out. "Hiss..." Dorothy was in so much pain that she glared at him furiously. "Are you out of your mind?" It seemed like Credence would not let things slide. Was he planning to tear her lips into pieces? "It hurts! A*shole! What the hell do you want?"

Chapter 34 A Deal

Linda's wailing could be heard from the other end of the phone. "Rosie passed out from shock just now. She's dying. The doctor said that her kidney ruptured and she has lost a lot of blood. She needs a kidney transplant now... Credence, can you come over?" Despite the interruption, Credence's face remained unchanged. His eyes were cold as he said, "Okay, I'll be there right away." "Hurry up, Credence! Also, remember to find Dorothy. Bring that b*tch to the hospital and dig out her kidney immediately to save my Rosie. That's what she owes our Fisher family and Rosie." Linda's loud cries came through the phone. Credence exhaled deeply and threw a cold gaze toward Dorothy. Then, he hung up the phone in silence. As Credence was answering the phone, Dorothy was held tightly in his arms all the time. Unable to break free, she was able to hear Linda's words clearly. Staring at the phone in Credence's hand absent-mindedly, she could not help but feel a chill run d

Chapter 35 In A Dilemma

Credence actions were very swift. It took less than ten minutes for him to arrive at the hospital from the hotel. Dorothy climbed out of the black Maybach. She realized she seemed to have lost all her emotions related to the kidney donation. Seeing Credence furrowing his brows with a trace of worry on his face because of Rosalie's illness, surprisingly, she did not feel anything. In Credence's heart, the only woman he cared about was Rosalie, not her. He would not hesitate even if she had to sacrifice her life to save Rosalie's, let alone donating a kidney! Although she and Rosalie were not related by blood, her kidney was miraculously very compatible with Rosalie's. In that case, she would just treat it as repaying the Fisher family for raising her. It was sad to think that she would be losing a healthy kidney after losing her husband and child. How pathetic! Deep down, Dorothy gave a wry, self-mocking smile. She straightened her b

Chapter 36 Stirring up Trouble

Dorothy was still in a daze. Her eyes were half-open, and her vision was blurry. Therefore, she could not see the facial features of the man under the dim light. Wrapped in his gentle embrace, she could feel his warmth against her waist. The faint scent of cigarettes mixed with his unique smell enveloped her... For some reason, it caused her heart to beat wildly again. A strange emotion quivered in her heart. Credence?! Why had he crawled into her bed instead of staying by Rosalie's side? She lowered her head and had a clearer look. What she saw was his sleeping face which was as calm as the sea. There was not a trace of coldness and cruelty on it. It was a stark difference to his usual self. After staring at him for a long time, Dorothy tried to move away from his chest carefully. However, as soon as she moved her body, a loud ringing tone suddenly broke the silence. It was coming from Credence's mobile phone. Sensing that he was going t

Chapter 37 Are You Heartbroken?

"No! Credence, don't. Please don't! Don't hurt Juelz. He is already severely injured..." With a pale face, Dorothy pleaded with Credence. She had no idea what Juelz had done to Rosalie. However, judging from Credence's concern and love for Rosalie, she was afraid that Juelz would not be able to escape this time. Juelz had barged into the ward and hurt Rosalie because of her. He was willing to risk his life in a desperate attempt to avenge her. He didn't even mind that he would be charged with murder. How could she sit idly by while Juelz was being tortured by Credence? Juelz was smashed to the ground, knocking off the medical instruments and medicine bottles in the room. It was a chaotic scene. "F*ck you! I dare you to fight me one-on-one. I will definitely kill you!" Juelz yelled at Credence. After that, he saw Dorothy walking toward him unsteadily. He hurriedly staggered to his feet. Despite the intense pain he was suffering, he gave her a gentle s

Chapter 38 Are You Really So Cheap?

Dorothy's body couldn't help trembling. She knew that Credence could really put his words into action. The most powerful man in Talco City was certainly not a kind-hearted person. However, the cruelty in his bones was hidden well under his mature and restrained appearance. Sometimes, even Dorothy forgot how cold-hearted this man really was. She staggered over and pounced on Credence's back. She grasped both of his arms tightly from behind and said through gritted teeth, "Please don't kill Juelz. It's all my fault. It has nothing to do with him. I'll bear all the consequences alone." After all, she was an orphan and had no family. It would not matter whether she was dead or alive! Credence's cold gaze landed on Dorothy's face. When their eyes caught, he could see the sadness and worries in her eyes. All of a sudden, he felt a dull pain in his heart. The scene he was greeted with when he broke into the hotel room the previous night lingered in his mind

Chapter 39 You Really Make Me Sick

Half an hour later, Dorothy had changed into a hospital gown with blue and white stripes. She sat on the sofa outside the operating room and waited patiently. Inside the sterile room, the doctor was doing a full body examination on Rosalie to ensure that nothing would go wrong during the surgery. Dorothy waited for nearly two hours before the attending doctor came out. He nodded at her, saying, "Miss Fisher, you may enter now to get ready." "Okay." After taking a few deep breaths, Dorothy stood up and straightened her gown. Then, she entered the operating room. To her surprise, Rosalie sat up from the operating table. At the sight of Dorothy, Rosalie sized her up and said with a smile, "Dorothy, oh Dorothy! Seems that you have not been very well while I was in a coma." "You are not injured at all?!" Dorothy was dumbfounded. She looked at Rosalie warily and let out a gasp. At that moment, Dorothy understood everything. Rosalie was no

Chapter 40 Threat

"Don't worry, Mr. Scott. The kidney transplantation has gone well. Now we are wrapping up the surgery. Miss Rosalie will be fine." For some reason, the attending doctor did not take off his mask. Besides, his figure became smaller. He seemed to be disguising his voice, making it sound hoarse. It made one feel extremely uncomfortable. Nevertheless, Credence did not find anything unusual. He nodded slightly and asked, "Then... How about Dorothy Fisher?" When he asked this question, there was no expression on his face. But his clenched fists had betrayed his feeling of nervousness at that moment. The doctor wondered if he was worried about Rosalie or Dorothy. "Her condition may not be so optimistic." The doctor stole a quick glance at Credence's cold face. Then, he quickly lowered his head. With a hoarse voice, he faltered, "During the surgery, we found out that her uterus has been seriously injured. Coupled with the fact that she had sexual inter
