The crowd grew louder as the night progressed. The barbecue was everywhere, with their wry smiles and the scent of wine; a group of barbonitas and men indulged in wine, nudity, and obscene dancing and singing. A pair exits the second-floor rooms, and another pair enters. Nicholas finished his needs before dusk and left. Before he left, he did not even look at Bellatrix. Nicholas's pretended ignorance of Bellatrix, as well as his silent departure, surprised her. “Wait, what did she expect? He came to rescue her? Has she forgotten that Nicholas is a cruel, ruthless, bloodthirsty man, unlike them? All he needed was Bellatrix's blood. He pretended not to know because that need had most likely passed. That's good. A threat has passed over her head. Her heart, however, continues to race. Bellatrix tried to burn him, but he is behaving normally. Leave her so easily?
