It's been seven months ever Since Imoved in with Justin as his pretend wife.At first,it was hard for me to wrap my mind and play my role as Justin's wife. “ Long time no see princess,” Justin stood by the door grinning at me. What was he here for? My blood began to boil just remembering what I've been through because of him and now he was back here. My mind quickly went to the kids, could he have found out and is now here to take them from me? No, I wouldn't let that happen! I screamed in my head. My kids were my everything and someone like Justin didn't deserve them. “ Are you just going to let me stand here or are you going to let me come in?” his words snapped me out of my thoughts. “ What do you think you are doing here?” I asked audaciously. What right did he think he has? “ What happened Isa? You don't seem to miss me one bit” he attempted to caress my face, I quickly dodged his touch. I wouldn't let his words get to me, he had an ulterior motive and I knew. “ Justin I don't have time for your games, why are you here?” I went straight to the point. “ I can't believe you've turned this cold towards me,” he said wi

Chapter 5

I woke up with puffy eyes, I had cried the entire night because of Justin. Everything still felt like a dream, why would he suddenly look for me after so many years? No matter the reason for his action, I still couldn't forgive him. He had embarrassed me and made a fool of me after I actually loved me. Did he get tired of Nina already? He was absolutely unbelievable and even though I want to act like it didn't hurt, it actually hurts a lot. My kids couldn't see me in such a pathetic and horrible state, I'll have to do something about it. I went into the bathroom to take a shower and wash up. I will most likely need to put on a bit more makeup than usual to cover my puffy eyes. Even if Amelia wouldn't notice, Aiden was sure to notice so I needed to try my best to conceal it. I just hoped Justin's pride wouldn't let him return here, that would be a relief. “ Breakfast is ready!” I announced to the twins who sat in the living room looking over their colouring books. That's one thing I k

Stopping over at the immediate five-star hotel, I went in to try to find out if, by any chance, he had lodged in here. My mind was in a state of frenzy. I tried my best to stop the tears that fought so hard to flow down my cheeks. Could I have lost my children? “ I'm sorry, ma'am, there's no one like this here,” the receptionist said after checking the computer in front of her. “ Thank you,” I managed to say. My heart sinking deeper and deeper. I paused outside the hotel confused. Crouching, I cried. I couldn't take it anymore. Where was I going to search for Justin and my children? He was rich enough to leave with my children without a trace. Honk! Honk!! Honk!!! I heard a car honk in front of where I stood, I didn't flinch even a bit. I was too weak, devastated, and frustrated to pay attention to about a car in front of me. chapter 7

I ran up the stairs leading to my apartment as soon as James’ car came to a halt, I was relieved but still worried. I needed to make sure they were alright. James ran behind me, trying his best to keep up with me. Opening the door to my apartment, I saw the twins eating pizza in the living room sitting besides Justin. My heart immediately became weak, they were alright. Walking into the living room, Amelia and Aiden on seeing me, ran towards me for a hug. “ Mummy!!” Amelia jumped into my arms as I knelt down while Aiden quietly hugged me tight. I was beyond relieved that they were okay, tears dropped steadily from my eyes as I couldn't hold my tears back anymore. I hugged and kissed them as I cried, I was so afraid of losing them. I thought of how I might never see them again, they were my life. “ Mummy, you're squeezing us too tight,” Aiden complained. He was right, I think I was actually squeezing them. “ I'm sorry, baby. Are you both alright?” I said cu

Once the door was slammed shut, I knew Justin was gone, at least for today. I sighed as I say down on the couch. “ Are the kids asleep?” I asked without turning to face James who had joined me on the couch. “ Yes, even though it hard to convince Amelia to go to bed. She was really excited to meet her dad,” James said bitterly. I knew he was hurt by the news. “ Thanks for helping me out,” I looked at him and managed to give him a smile. “ You shouldn't be thanking me, it's my duty,” he replied shyly as he scratched the back of his head. We sat quietly, the air hanging with curiosity. I knew he had lots of questions to ask me and I also wanted to know how he felt but I still didn't feel that I was ready to talk about Justin. “ Do you want tea?” he broke the silence. “ I would have said coffee but...,” “ You shouldn't take coffee before heading to bed, that's a really bad habit you know,” he was quick to correc

chapter 9

I woke up to the sound of my doorbell ringing, who could it be on an early Saturday morning? I wasn't going to bother with that right now, the person would eventually go, I thought but I was far from being right. With the reoccurring ringing of the doorbell, the twins woke up. “ Mummy, aren't you going to get the door?” Aiden asked as he sat up. “ Yes, I will honey. Go back to sleep,” I patted his head before heading out. Who could it be so early in the morning. “ I'm coming!” I yelled as I approached the door. Unlocking the door, I was met with a bag of groceries. I was relieved it wasn't who I suspected it would be. “ Good morning,” James revealed his face from behind the grocery bags, not forgetting to beam a smile at me. Sometimes, I wondered how he was always this cheerful. It was like nothing could take his smile away. “ Why did you come this early?” I was actually still perplexed by his presence and why was he this early? “ Oh, that,” he scratched the

chapter 10

“ Good morning, darling,” I was met with Justin's face as I opened the door. He was grinning at me, this couldn't be good. I immediately shut the door against him but before it could close properly, he stopped it with his arm. “ What do you think you're doing?” he said as he pushed the door open. “ That's not the way to treat your husband, you know?” he smirked.“ Justin, I don't want to argue with you today. Can you please just stop coming over?” I begged, placing my palms together. “ I'm not comfortable with your frequent visitations and it's not just healthy showing up into the kid's life all of a sudden,” I knew trying to reason with him was not going to work but still, there's no harm trying. “ Don't you think that they'll be more upset to know that after their dad appeared to them, he suddenly stops coming. It's more traumatic, what do you think they'll think of me? They would conclude that I really abandoned them,” honestly, his explanation did make sense but I didn't wa
