Chapter 41

Olivia's POV I followed Devon back to his chamber. He was walking so stiffly and I knew something was wrong. I usually thought he got angry for fun, but seeing the way he walked now, I knew there must be a reason for his anger. Once he entered the chamber, he stopped walking. I hadn't known that he stopped and continued walking. Not until I bumped into him and then I raised my gaze to find him standing with his back to me."Somehow, I just knew that you would keep your gaze down." He stated. "Something I noticed you do whenever you feel nervous or afraid." I didn't make any sound, neither did I move. I was adamant on keeping silent. If he was going to believe Candice because she could speak then I wasn't going

Chapter 42

Devon's POVShe just had a confused look on her face. No matter the things I told her that needed to be done to brighten up my mood, she didn't say anything or at least, express her thoughts. When I noticed her confusion, I felt that maybe she would ask any questions. Rather than ask, she just nodded to everything I said. This led me to continue to make ridiculous demands. Let's see how far her tolerance can stretch. "And you will have to mop my chamber, I noticed some dust on the carpet." She nodded again. "The jewelries need to be polished. How could I go out with no jewelries just because the ones I have are looking so old?"

Chapter 43

Olivia's POV I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Accused of stealing from Devon, the alpha of our pack? It was absurd. Why would anyone in their right mind want to steal from such a cruel and powerful leader? And why would they suspect me, a mute and weak wolf, of all people? It was beyond ridiculous. I tried to remain calm and composed, but inside I was seething with anger and frustration. How could they be so dumb as to accuse me of such a thing? I had always been a loyal member of the pack, and had never given anyone any reason to doubt my integrity.  The incident of collecting those vials from my father and actually slipping one of them into Devon's meal fazed through my mind and I sighed in defeat. Maybe I had given just one person a chance to accuse me of theft

Chapter 44

Devon's POV   "All of them."   She stiffened beside me and I wanted to smirk. She must have felt like I was referring to her as well. I had intentionally said that to make her fidgety and she was.   "You, give me that ring." I ordered.   The guard slipped his hand into his pocket and took out the ring. When he gave them to me, I wondered how it had left my finger in the first place. I allowed them to leave before finally turning to my mute servant girl. "Yes?" I asked, raising a brow up. "Anything else?"   She shook her head slowly and I nodded.

Chapter 45

Olivia's POV I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was wrong. It was a nagging sensation that I couldn't ignore. My mind was restless and I found it hard to focus on my training. I knew that Devon was in danger, but I couldn't pinpoint the source of my unease. As a werewolf, Devon's strength came from his wolf form. But if he was unable to access it, he would be vulnerable to any attack. I couldn't bear the thought of him being defenseless. I had to find out what was wrong and help him. I decided that maybe I could confront Devon and share my concerns with him. As soon as I thought of the topic, the regret that I had been struggling with surfaced again. I knew then that there was no way I would possible confront him and not expose myself.

Chapter 46

Olivia's POV Just what was this man asking me to do now? To bath him? So I was going to scrub his naked body? The thought of touching him made me feel so hot. Ah, this man is worse than a devil, he's so shameless! "Olivia, the water is turning cold." I turned sharply. I cannot bath you. He chuckled. What is funny? He's asking me to bath him and he finds it funny? Why does he find it funny? How does he find it funny? "Why can't you bath me?" Um, isn't the answer pretty obvious? You're a grown man and I'm a slightly grown woman, and isn't that enough reason to not bath you?

Chapter 47

Olivia's POV I arrived at Alpha Devon's chamber before the first light of dawn. My mission was clear: ensure that he starts his day on the right foot. I waited patiently for him to wake up, ready to do whatever it takes to make sure he doesn't remain grumpy for the rest of the day. As soon as Alpha Devon stirred, I sprang into action. I prepared a hot cup of coffee for him, just the way he likes it. I also laid out his favorite breakfast, complete with fresh fruits and pastries. Alpha Devon seemed pleased with my efforts, and I could tell that his mood had already improved. After breakfast, I helped Alpha Devon get dressed for the day. I made sure his clothes were neatly pressed and his shoes were polished to a shine. I also reminded him of his schedule for the day, ensuring

Chapter 48

Devon's POV Olivia stormed out of the meeting chamber, her face contorted with anger. I couldn't help but wonder what had caused her outburst. Despite my warning to Candice to be on her best behavior, Olivia still seemed to be upset. I had to follow her to make sure she was okay. As I trailed her down the hallway, Olivia's body language spoke volumes. She was tense, her fists clenched tightly at her sides. I knew I had to approach her carefully, so as not to exacerbate the situation. When I caught up to her, I asked if she was okay. She turned to face me, her eyes blazing with fury. But when she noticed it was me, they calmed down and I noticed the sadness in them. Why was she sad? What was wrong with women? "Are yo

Chapter 49

Devon's POVThe next day started the way every normal day in my castle would. Me waking up to find my slave standing before my bed, waiting on me. She had prepared my bath and my meal and was waiting for me to just open my eyes. What a beautiful way to be awoken. She bowed in greeting the moment she saw that my eyes were open. I offered her a cheeky smile and came out of my bed. Somewhere, I hated being watched while I slept, it felt as if I was at my most vulnerable point and I could easily be harmed. "Why are you standing there so stiffly?" I asked, feigning my early morning anger. I watched her face twitch as if she had something to say but held herself in. "Hm, you have grown stronger. I still remember that night I saved you

Chapter 50

Olivia's POVThe nerve he has. Oh, he has so much nerve! Why does he keep bringing Candice into the pack house? Why must she be allowed in? Can he not tell that she's only here because she wants something from him? Somewhere, deep down, I wanted to remain there to know why she had come. But alas, I can't trust Candice to not insult me and make things hellish for me. So I had to just leave to continue my training for the day. Devon says that if I can speak clearly to ask for my wish for the day, he would grant it to me. I had to practice very hard today. The other soldiers would join me in the training today. I wasn't going to train alone. That also meant that I was going to have to work extra hard. Those other soldiers were going to tease the hell out of me.
