Devon's POV
"All of them."
She stiffened beside me and I wanted to smirk. She must have felt like I was referring to her as well. I had intentionally said that to make her fidgety and she was.
"You, give me that ring." I ordered.
The guard slipped his hand into his pocket and took out the ring. When he gave them to me, I wondered how it had left my finger in the first place. I allowed them to leave before finally turning to my mute servant girl.
"Yes?" I asked, raising a brow up. "Anything else?"
She shook her head slowly and I nodded.
Olivia's POVI couldn't shake off the feeling that something was wrong. It was a nagging sensation that I couldn't ignore. My mind was restless and I found it hard to focus on my training. I knew that Devon was in danger, but I couldn't pinpoint the source of my unease. As a werewolf, Devon's strength came from his wolf form. But if he was unable to access it, he would be vulnerable to any attack. I couldn't bear the thought of him being defenseless. I had to find out what was wrong and help him.I decided that maybe I could confront Devon and share my concerns with him. As soon as I thought of the topic, the regret that I had been struggling with surfaced again. I knew then that there was no way I would possible confront him and not expose myself.
Olivia's POVJust what was this man asking me to do now? To bath him? So I was going to scrub his naked body? The thought of touching him made me feel so hot. Ah, this man is worse than a devil, he's so shameless!"Olivia, the water is turning cold."I turned sharply. I cannot bath you.He chuckled. What is funny? He's asking me to bath him and he finds it funny? Why does he find it funny? How does he find it funny?"Why can't you bath me?"Um, isn't the answer pretty obvious? You're a grown man and I'm a slightly grown woman, and isn't that enough reason to not bath you?
Olivia's POVI arrived at Alpha Devon's chamber before the first light of dawn. My mission was clear: ensure that he starts his day on the right foot. I waited patiently for him to wake up, ready to do whatever it takes to make sure he doesn't remain grumpy for the rest of the day.As soon as Alpha Devon stirred, I sprang into action. I prepared a hot cup of coffee for him, just the way he likes it. I also laid out his favorite breakfast, complete with fresh fruits and pastries. Alpha Devon seemed pleased with my efforts, and I could tell that his mood had already improved. After breakfast, I helped Alpha Devon get dressed for the day. I made sure his clothes were neatly pressed and his shoes were polished to a shine. I also reminded him of his schedule for the day, ensuring
Devon's POVOlivia stormed out of the meeting chamber, her face contorted with anger. I couldn't help but wonder what had caused her outburst. Despite my warning to Candice to be on her best behavior, Olivia still seemed to be upset. I had to follow her to make sure she was okay.As I trailed her down the hallway, Olivia's body language spoke volumes. She was tense, her fists clenched tightly at her sides. I knew I had to approach her carefully, so as not to exacerbate the situation. When I caught up to her, I asked if she was okay. She turned to face me, her eyes blazing with fury. But when she noticed it was me, they calmed down and I noticed the sadness in them. Why was she sad? What was wrong with women?"Are yo
Devon's POVThe next day started the way every normal day in my castle would. Me waking up to find my slave standing before my bed, waiting on me. She had prepared my bath and my meal and was waiting for me to just open my eyes. What a beautiful way to be awoken. She bowed in greeting the moment she saw that my eyes were open. I offered her a cheeky smile and came out of my bed. Somewhere, I hated being watched while I slept, it felt as if I was at my most vulnerable point and I could easily be harmed."Why are you standing there so stiffly?" I asked, feigning my early morning anger. I watched her face twitch as if she had something to say but held herself in."Hm, you have grown stronger. I still remember that night I saved you
Olivia's POVThe nerve he has. Oh, he has so much nerve! Why does he keep bringing Candice into the pack house? Why must she be allowed in? Can he not tell that she's only here because she wants something from him? Somewhere, deep down, I wanted to remain there to know why she had come. But alas, I can't trust Candice to not insult me and make things hellish for me.So I had to just leave to continue my training for the day. Devon says that if I can speak clearly to ask for my wish for the day, he would grant it to me. I had to practice very hard today. The other soldiers would join me in the training today. I wasn't going to train alone. That also meant that I was going to have to work extra hard. Those other soldiers were going to tease the hell out of me.
Candice's POVOf course, there was an emergency at the clinic. But I didn't make it sound like one. I didn't want to get my darling alpha so worked up. Susan liked to overreact and honestly, the only reason I agreed to make a big deal out of nothing was because she wanted to involve Alpha Devon!Oh! Looking at his beautiful face this morning was everything I needed to start a lovely day. And when I told him I was allergic, it was a lie of course. How could I be allergic to something in a meal and react to it when I didn't taste it? The food wasn't even hot anymore so the scent couldn't be that strong to make my face that red.I just did not want to embarrass myself before him. Devon looks so handsome when he's thinking. How come I never noticed this? And today would have been the perfect
Devon's POVIt's not like I didn't read between the lines, I could already guess what Candice was up to. But I needed another mate for myself. Yet each time I tried to tell myself this, Olivia always came back to my mind. It's confusing and I don't know what to do. I certainly hope that she will soon be healed and she would also become stronger and less sensitive to matters. It will be so difficult for her as a Luna to be such a crybaby who turns red at the slightest teasing.Susan led me to her office and we discussed away from the prying ears and eyes of Candice. She told me how she had arrived at the clinic today to find many sick people who weren't recognized as members of the pack."It's alright. If any o
Olivia's POVDawn took extremely too long to come and I guessed it was due to my over excitement for today. Noon did the same thing and when evening slowly approached, I was seated in front of the vanity mirror with Gabi, Susan and a couple other ladies beside me.Right now, I was surrounded by ladies I see in the pack, but do not know them and that I had barely associated with.It was all going to change when I finally become the Lady of the house. The Luna of the silvermoon pack. Fuss was made over my nails of what nail polish color would fit perfectly on it. I let them make the fuss cause I did not care much about it. I just wanted to be linked arm in arm with my groom and tell him ' I do'. They finally decided on a chic blue nail polish coupled with a glitter lacquer polish for design. It did turn out great and my toe nails were given a nude nail polish color after minutes of a nice pedicure. Same fuss was made over my hair of which style would fit the Lady of the house. I had
Devon's POVThe training lasted till midnight before Damian everyone to retire to their rooms for the battle ahead. The morning came more quickly than expected but the pack warriors did not look like they lacked sleep. For this has done this before.I addressed the pack concerning the battle with the tyrant, Rodrigo. A few warriors were assigned to guard the palace with all their strength. We were ready, dressed, swords in our hands and guns too for the battle that was about to take place.Just then sounds of hooves on the ground and approaching cars could be heard from a distance."It's now or never," Damian said to me. He was indeed ready.Hell let loose as bullets and arrows flew around. It came out so sudden. I almost pushed Damian out of the way as an arrow was fired towards him, he fell down to the ground as I went off to grab who had fired the arrow.Rodrigo's men were advancing towards us, a battalion of them. My warriors charged towards them. Heads were ripped off, hearts we
Devon's POVThe sudden appearance of the red moon was quite baffling. It arrival before it said date took us off guard. The pack guards went in search of the sage in the caves but as usual there was nothing. Perhaps, this was just a facade of the red moon? I pondered.I got back to the palace and Olivia was not in her room. I asked about her from Gabi and she told me Olivia was in the garden.I got there and saw her staring at a plant. "Hey, love. What are you looking at?" I asked her."Hi, um, it's this green plant, it shines but it won't let me uproot it," she replied."Let me see," I said as I drew nearer to the plant. It was the sage! "My, it's the sage," I said in excitement. She grinned. "Well, uproot it!" She said to me. I tried to uproot it but it wouldn't. This was just a plant and not a tree, yet it was hard to uproot. I tried severally but it would not come out of the ground. "How about we do it together?" She suggested. I agreed and when we did, the sage came off so easily
Devon's POVThe more she lied the more she infuriated me. "You don't know what I'm talking about?" I asked her again and she stared at me. "Fine," I added as I dialled Damian's number. "Bring the girl in," I said into the phone and then hung up.A few minutes later, Damian walked into the house with Trisha who was frightened. Candice could not hide the horror on her face."Will you claim not to know this woman?" I asked her."I don't know her," Candice replied with confidence."Stop lying!" Trisha yelled at her. "Look at what you've gotten me into. These guys came to the club and dragged me out like a loser. I warned you about this but you still indulged me into it by tempting me with what I love the most," Trisha said to Candice in anger."Liar! I don't know you!" Candice yelled at her."Trisha, repeat everything you told me about Candice in the car," I said to her.Trisha swallowed. "Candice and I are co-workers at the strip club," she began to say and Olivia was shocked. "She came
Candice's POVI returned back to the house and I saw Susan with a blanket wrapped her shoulder as she sipped a cup containing coffee I believe. "Why are you all wrapped up when it's barely chilling outside?" I asked her."I'm just thinking," she replied.I snickered as I sat down on the chair. "That's why you're all covered up," I said. "Well, how's Olivia?" I asked her.She shrugged. "Not so good. She's still inside," she replied."What must have happened? Why is she so shaken?" I asked."Well, Devon came by today. Turns out that the reason why Olivia is upset and quiet is because of him," she said with a sigh."Oh my, what happened?" I asked as I pretended as if I did not know what was going on."It turns out Olivia has a video of Devon cheating on her with some girl and some pictures too," she replied."What?" I exclaimed, pretending to be shocked. She nodded, buying all my pretentious act. Damn, I was a good actress!"It's so strange. Devon is so in love with Olivia. I can't belie
Devon's POVI got to Susan's place and she immediately opened the door. "Where is she?" I asked as I got in."She's in my room. She won't come out and I have been hearing crying sounds coming from there," she said as she led me to her room.We got to her room and there was Olivia laying face down on the bed in a red dress. "Olivia," I called her name and her body immediately stiffened before she turned around and got off from the bed. "What are you doing here?" She demanded with so much anger in her voice as she stared hard at me with puffy eyes."You're crying," I said going close to her."Don't you dare come close to me. Don't you dare!" She yelled out at me."Olivia, I'm sorry," I was burdened by her behavior as I apologized. I had no idea that the dinner date meant so much to her."Get out," she replied without looking at me."Olivia, I..." I began to say but she did not let me finish when she interrupted me."I said get out!" She yelled in anger."I'm sorry!" I yelled back, not
Damian's POVThe security personnel went through the CCTV footage but unfortunately, there was no sign of Devon leaving the hotel. He was only seen going into the men's room. I almost missed the next person that went in when I suddenly saw her and asked him to pause. "Zoom in," I said to him and he did. A woman was going into the men's room too. She had black hair, but her face could not be seen. "Hell, what is a woman going to do at the men's room," I pondered out aloud. The security personnel shrugged. "Is there no footage of the woman or Devon coming out of the men's room?" I asked him."No, sir. You can see from the footage that nothing like that happened and there doesn't seem to be any glitch anywhere in the system," he replied.I groaned inwardly. "Thank you very much," I said as I patted his shoulder."You're welcome," he replied as I walked out of the room. Where was Devon and who was that woman? I pondered deeply.I got back to the hotel hallway and spoke to the guards we ca
Olivia's POVI stumbled back in shock unable to believe my eyes. I held the chair to stable myself from falling. It was as if my eyes were deceiving me. I paused as the phone slipped down from my hand. Was this the launch Devon claimed to be at?Perhaps, images might be deceiving, but I had no idea what pushed me to leave the palace and get to the hotel. On getting there, another message came in, directing me to the room Devon was in. I walked up the stairs, used the elevators and I could feel my heart in my throat as I got out of the elevator. What would I see? I knew it would be something that I would not be able hold in. I got to the room and opened the door and lo and behold, before my very eyes, there was that same woman I saw yesterday humping over Devon.I closed my mouth in shock and pain as tears cascaded down my eyes. I left the door slightly ajar as I ran out of the hallway. I kept running till I was out of the hotel.I could not scream even when I possibly wanted to. My ha
Candice's POV"What?!" Trisha exclaimed, almost spitting her cappuccino in my face."Hush, calm down Trish," I said to her as I looked around the strip club, ensuring that no one was eavesdropping on us."What do you mean by calm down, Candice? That I should frame Devon up? Are you kidding me right now?" She literally yelled at me."You're not really framing him up, Trish," I replied."What do you call drugging a man in an hotel room, and taking pictures with him?" She demanded."Stop sounding like this is the first time you're doing such a thing," I frowned at her."And so? At least I know the kind of men I do such with. Not men like Devon and especially not Devon. Please, Candice!" She flared up.I slapped my forehead. "So, you're not going to do this?" I asked her."No amount of money will make me mess with someone like Devon. Count me out," she said as she stopped her cappuccino and turned away."Not even for half a million bucks?" I asked her and she paused and turned around."Ha
