Chapter 111

Devon's POVI walked back into the palace and walked into Olivia's room without knocking. I was trying to keep my anger and the hurt I felt for being lied to at bay, but I has always been terrible to keeping my anger under control. She was brushing her hair when I walked in. She turned around sharply, startled by my sudden intruding of her privacy. Her eyes were deterred as she stared at me. "Devon, what's..." She began to speak as she placed the brush back on the dressing table."What were you doing at the borders last night?" I cut her short. She stared at me like a deer caught in a lamplight. "Answer me!" I demanded, infuriated by her silence. Was she thinking of a lie to say to me? I wondered. She swallowed. "I was with my father," she replied, finally saying the truth. She had no choice of course. She has been caught."And you lied to me last night?!" I demanded."I had no choice!" She replied, her tone raised."What do you mean you had no choice? You had so many things to do bu

Chapter 112

Devon's POV I stood in the library of the West house, going over businesses plans that I had somewhat abandoned for a while. This was a deal breaker for me. I was using my stay here and business as a distraction to clear my head from the thoughts of Olivia.I had left the palace to stay here just so I would not have to see  her. I was angry at her, but if I had stayed in the palace, I would have no choice but to talk to her and it would have only angered me the more.I came here to calm my head, relieve myself of the anger and hurt I felt. I was also trying to get her off my mind. All of a sudden, I heard some noises outside the library hallways. Then, followed by the barging of Olivia."Please, you can't g

Chapter 113

Olivia's POVHe did return to the palace and I was in my room standing by the window when I heard the door open. I turned away from the window and saw him walking into the room with two glasses of champagne in his hands. He paused in the middle of the room, taking in my appearance. The nightdress I wore hit just a little above my kneecaps and now with the way he looked at me, I was beginning to think maybe I made the wrong choice of dress."You look beautiful," he said with an utmost sincerity in his eyes.I looked down at the dress and held the hem. "I was beginning to think it was too short," I said.He smiled. "It makes it easier to slide through," he replied as he walked closer to me and handed one of the glass. My knees buckled as I took it from him and took a sip from it. I looked at him and saw him staring at me."What?" I asked with a nervous smile."Champagne isn't the thing on my mind right now," he replied as he took the glass gingerly from my hand.He placed the glasses o

Chapter 114

Devon's POVHer hair was in disarray and covered her face but could not disguise her exquisite loveliness. She opened her eyes and stared at me sheepishly. In a way, she revealed her emotional side, the soft and fragile Olivia and not the feisty one I have come to know. "I had no idea on how to treat a man or the ways of pleasing him," she said staring at me with those innocent eyes.I pulled her closer to myself and stroked her arm as I kissed her forehead. How could I explain to her what I've grasped a long time ago? I didn't want to give her the impression that she didn't perform well. Despite her inexperience, in her own way she had done well than the experienced ones I've ever been with."Your inexperience does not change you, love," I said to her.Her head was on my chest and I could feel her heart beating down my rib. We both savored the moment having no knowledge of what tomorrow had in store for us. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~The morning rays filtered through the window

Chapter 115

Candice's POVOlivia's scent was mixed with the scent of a SilverMoon and it only meant one thing, but I was finding it hard to believe it."Answer me," I said to her in a matter of urgency. She stared at me. "I have nothing to say to you," she replied and turned around to walk away again."You have slept with Devon," I finally said, finding it out to say the words talk more of thinking of it.She stopped in her tracks and turned to look at me. "May I ask you why you are so interested in my personal life?" She asked me."I care less about your life, Olivia. You can as well go to hell," I said as I frowned at her."Then, do not question me," she replied, staring hard at me."You and I know that I will as long as it comes to Devon. I do not want you getting involved with him," I replied, folding my hands across my chest."Oh, good for you," she replied sarcastically and walked away. I uncrossed my arms and clenched my hands into a fist, I almost groaned out but I suppressed it. The wenc

Chapter 116

Olivia's POVI dipped myself in the bathtub enjoying the feel of the bubbling water on my skin. I was in no rush to leave it. Momentarily, I forgot about my exchange with Vivian and I found myself drifting off to the feels of his hands on my body and I felt warmth creep in between the junction of my legs.I dallied in the bathtub, oblivious of another presence in the room until I felt a finger trace my arm and my eyes flew open, appalled, until I saw that it was Devon. He smirked devilishly."You scared me there for a minute," I said and he chuckled."I know. You looked so occupied with your thoughts that I did not want to disturb you," he said.If only he knew that I was having thoughts of him. He kept tracing a finger down my arm, up to my neck as his eyes were fixed on the swelling of my breasts and I suddenly felt conscious of myself. He noticed it and chuckled. "Do not attempt to shy away from me, love. I've seen all of you last night, explored you and I have the intention of doi

Chapter 117

Devon's POVDamian followed me into the study room and closed the door behind him. "Are you really serious now, Devon? Why are you taking Olivia to the party?" He inquired.I knew he was going to question me. He always had his way of questioning me from the earshots of others."Am I not allowed to pick any date of my choice?" I asked him as I sat on the swivelling chair. He moved closer. "You are. But, picking Olivia as your date will have everyone's eyes on you. What happened to you keeping it a secret from everyone else?" He questioned."They are business partners and clients, Damian. What do they know about my life?" I asked him."Do not forget in a haste, that some of those business partners know that you're an alpha and there's a ninety percent chance that they know Olivia is a stealer wolf, aside from the fact that some are aware of her being a maid to you," he explained and then sighed in an infuriated tone. "Come on, Devon, what are you thinking?" He asked as he raised his han

Chapter 118

Olivia's POVHe made me want him as he rekindled the fire he had skillfully lit in me. My body ached for his touch as I threw my head backward giving him a way to continue his sweet torture. He trailed kisses down the nape of my neck to my shoulders and I burned with desires that were ready to consume my soul."Let's go home," He whispered, his voice filled with passion. We left the party and went home. As soon as we got home, he carried me in bridal style up the stairs. We got into the room and he locked the door. His impatient yet expert hands pulled the dress off me roughly within seconds and I stood before him in my nudity."Should my eyes be stricken not to gaze upon this beauty." He said in appraisal as he gathered me in his arms and wrapped his lips around mine in a fatal kiss as he removed his clothing. He lifted me up in his arms and had my back against the wall.He feathered kisses on my lips as he held my legs wrapped around his waist, my hands placed on his shoulders and I

Chapter 119

Devon's POVI stood in front of the car and looked around the almost empty street. Damian was leaning on the car and he let out a sigh."It just seems like a fruitless search, Devon. Are they really witches around?" He said."There are," I replied positively. I believed that there were witches in this part of the world. Why they were not in sight was what I could not fathom."Then where are they? Why can't we find them? We've been searching for a witch for the past two days, Devon. We've not come across any witch not to talk of one," he said, clearly exasperated.I folded my arms across my chest. "Perhaps they are not some people we'll just find roaming around the streets. We need to find a better approach to this," I replied as I raked my fingers in my hair and moved away from the car."What better approach?" He asked me as he also moved away from the car."We'll have the gammas stationed in different regions and go about seeking for a witch, because we can't be too far from the pack

Chapter 120

Susan's POV"Hell, I have a very bad headache," Candice said, placing her hand on one side of her head as she walked into the living room."What happened?" I asked her and as she sat on the sofa, I could perceive the faint stench of alcohol from her. "You've been drinking," I said as I scrunched up my nose."Yes, but I had to," she replied with a groan."What do you mean you had to?" I asked her as I took a sip from my cup of coffee and then placed it on the table."I went to work, Susan," she replied, placing her head on the sofa."Work? Do you mean you went to work or rather you went stripping," I sneered and she lifted her head and shot me a deadly look."It's my job, Susan and you know that. I need some money and I had to go back," she replied.I shrugged. "Oh well, it's your choice and your life," I replied as I stood up. "I'll make you some ginger tea," I added."Oh, that's better. Thank you, Susan. It will really help," she appreciated as she placed her head back on the sofa.I
