She caught sight of her the moment she stepped into the breakfast cafe with two hefty men trailing behind her. Even with the hat she had on, she still attracted quite the attention and she knew that it was the fault of the bodyguards behind her. Maddie felt like her heart was about to burst from how erratically it was pounding against her ribcage. Did he really mean it? The words he had just said to her?
