Chapter One Hundred and One

Brittany stared out the balcony, mesmerized by the breathtaking view of the city skyline at night. The wind whipped her hair around, feeling her nostrils with the aroma of the little bakery across the street. In the distance the Eiffel Tower dominated the landscape, glittering like a gigantic lighthouse in the sea of lights that was Paris. Brittany sighed deeply, she couldn't help but be swept away by the breathtaking view."You know why it's called the city of lights mademoiselle?" A calm, deep voice asked, Brittany turned around to see an elegant, handsome man with sparkling blue eyes gazing at her. Gary, in his three-piece suit and a fresh haircut, looked simply delectable tonight."Why?" Brittany asked, turning to face him and leaning on the rails, returning his gaze."Because Paris, was the first big city, in all of Europe, to have street lamps." He replied, joining her at the rails and leaning over them, smiling calmly at her. She looked at him in amazement, "Really?" She asked.

Chapter One Hundred and Three

"Okay," she said, standing up and pacing thoughtfully. "How to break them up without killing anybody." She stopped, staring out the window. "It shouldn't be that hard.""Well?" Jude asked, walking up to join her. "I am waiting."Brittany paced her living room, her mind racing with thoughts of how to break up Hugo and Briella. She had to come up with a plan fast to prevent Jude from carrying out his plan of killing Hugo in an accident. She couldn't let that happen. She needed Hugo to be alive so she could be with him. "Okay, if you are just going to keep pacing aimlessly, I will head out and start making the arrangements." He made for the door. "I am done waiting for Brittany.""Wait!" She called out, panicking."What?" He asked turning to face her, "You have anything concrete? If you don't have a piece of advice, don't bother asking me to give you time." He threw up his hands in exasperation. "Every day she spends with him, I feel a part of me chipping away, I can't deal with that an

Chapter One Hundred and Four

Jude sat quietly at the bar by the strip club, taking only a few sips of his beer. He watched Hugo who sat in a dark corner, probably wondering what the hell he was doing in a strip club. Jude smiled. The plan was simple, they got Hugo to come to the club by pretending Jude was a client who wanted a meeting. He would buy a few drinks while he waited for a client that never came and when he got drunk enough, Jude would introduce the stripper he had met earlier, a copper-colored Latino beauty with the most seductive look ever. He would then place a call to Brittany to come and take him back to Briella when the pictures were taken.Simple. The music pounded hard as the slow stream of barely dressed women stalked up and down the little runway, pausing only to hop on the single pole on the stage and slide down it, twerking their bottoms at the faces of the loud, drunk men who in turn tried to stuff crumpled dollar bills in their thongs.Jude watched from a corner at the bar, barely touchi

He replied."You should leave, you're not wanted here." Brittany told him."And why is that? She is my mate." He stated."This is all your fault, Jude."
