Brittany stared out the balcony, mesmerized by the breathtaking view of the city skyline at night. The wind whipped her hair around, feeling her nostrils with the aroma of the little bakery across the street. In the distance the Eiffel Tower dominated the landscape, glittering like a gigantic lighthouse in the sea of lights that was Paris. Brittany sighed deeply, she couldn't help but be swept away by the breathtaking view.

"You know why it's called the city of lights mademoiselle?" A calm, deep voice asked, Brittany turned around to see an elegant, handsome man with sparkling blue eyes gazing at her. Gary, in his three-piece suit and a fresh haircut, looked simply delectable tonight.

"Why?" Brittany asked, turning to face him and leaning on the rails, returning his gaze.

"Because Paris, was the first big city, in all of Europe, to have street lamps." He replied, joining her at the rails and leaning over them, smiling calmly at her. She looked at him in amazement, "Really?" She asked.

Even she wasn't so sure this was true anymore. As she turned onto her street, Brittany's worries melted away as she caught sight of her cozy little apartment. "Okay," she said, standing up and pacing thoughtfully. "How to break them up without killing anybody." She stopped, staring out the window. "It shouldn't be that hard.""Well?" Jude asked, walking up to join her. "I am waiting."Brittany paced her living room, her mind racing with thoughts of how to break up Hugo and Briella. She had to come up with a plan fast to prevent Jude from carrying out his plan of killing Hugo in an accident. She couldn't let that happen. She needed Hugo to be alive so she could be with him. "Okay, if you are just going to keep pacing aimlessly, I will head out and start making the arrangements." He made for the door. "I am done waiting for Brittany.""Wait!" She called out, panicking."What?" He asked turning to face her, "You have anything concrete? If you don't have a piece of advice, don't bother asking me to give you time." He threw up his hands in exasperation. "Every day she spends with him, I feel a part of me chipping away, I can't deal with that an

Jude sat quietly at the bar by the strip club, taking only a few sips of his beer. He watched Hugo who sat in a dark corner, probably wondering what the hell he was doing in a strip club. Jude smiled. The plan was simple, they got Hugo to come to the club by pretending Jude was a client who wanted a meeting. He would buy a few drinks while he waited for a client that never came and when he got drunk enough, Jude would introduce the stripper he had met earlier, a copper-colored Latino beauty with the most seductive look ever. He would then place a call to Brittany to come and take him back to Briella when the pictures were taken.Simple. The music pounded hard as the slow stream of barely dressed women stalked up and down the little runway, pausing only to hop on the single pole on the stage and slide down it, twerking their bottoms at the faces of the loud, drunk men who in turn tried to stuff crumpled dollar bills in their thongs.Jude watched from a corner at the bar, barely touchi

Briella sat in the restaurant, staring blankly at her untouched salad. She couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. She glanced around the room, wondering if someone was watching her. But everything seemed normal, the restaurant was busy, and people were chatting and laughing. After finishing her meal, Briella got up and left the restaurant, feeling a sense of relief. She walked to her car and drove home, planning to take a short nap before getting back to work.As soon as she stepped through the door, the doorbell rang. Briella groaned and went to answer it, expecting a salesman or a neighbor to ask for a favor. But when she opened the door, she found a mailman in brown UPS Khakis standing there with a small package."Package for Briella," he said, handing her the package. "It's anonymous." And without a word, he turned around and left, not even letting her sign off that she received the package Briella felt a chill run down her spine as she took the package. She opened it

"What are you doing here?" Brittany uttered venomously. After all, it was Jude's fault her sister was lying there, fighting for her life.Jude, who was busy caressing an unconscious Briella's face on the hospital bed, looked back."What does it look like?" He replied."You should leave, you're not wanted here." Brittany told him."And why is that? She is my mate." He stated."This is all your fault, Jude." The said man scoffed."Like you didn't have a part in it?" He questioned mockingly."Stop it." Brittany was close to tears. She could not wave off the feeling of guilt. After all, she was the one that brought up the plan that caused Briella to have an accident. Jude took her tears as a moment of weakness to taunt her."Looks like the high and mighty Brittany can't handle the consequences of her actions." Jude sneered.Brittany resisted the urge to slap him. She knew he was right, but it didn't change the fact that she felt terrible. She turned away from him, unable to look at his sm

Bianca had been putting all her energy, time, and effort into work, and it was beginning to take a toll on her. "What do you mean it's not ready? Do you know how much money we're losing because of this? Get it sorted, or you're done!"Bianca ended the call, tossed her phone aside, and glared at Mila. You seem upset."Bianca scoffed. "Of course, everything is not all right. Can't you see that?" she pointed to a picture frame on her desk. "He left me, Mila. He just up and left, after every

Bianca walked back into the club, the loud music, flashing lights, and the smell of alcohol hit her hard again. She made her way to the bar, where she ordered her usual drink – a vodka tonic. The bartender, noticing how disheveled Bianca looked, hesitated for a moment before deciding to cut her off. "I'm sorry, ma'am. I can't serve you any more alcohol. It's against the law to serve someone who's clearly already intoxicated."Bianca's face twisted in anger and frustration. She had come here to forget about everything, and now this snooty bartender was getting in her way. "What? Are you kidding me? You can't do that! I'm a paying customer! Just give me my drink!""I'm sorry, but I can't," the bartender repeated firmly. "I care about your safety, and I can't serve alcohol to someone who's already had enough."Bianca was seething with anger. She felt like she was being treated like a child. She raised her voice, "Who the hell are you to tell me what I can and can't drink? You don't know

Beside him, Bianca stood tall and resolute, her fur a brilliant shade of white in the moonlight."Are you ready?" "Honestly Zane, this might not work. These rogues can be trusted for one minute.""They might use this as an advantage and then turn against us at the last minute. We lost both of your mothers to this.""Are you sure you really still want to go with the same option which killed your mother?""This isn't smart of you. We can't lose guard. We can't just afford to risk the safety of the pack just because you want to give something a trial.""And I am ninety percent sure this won't work out. And we just can't risk this; we have a lot at stake."
