petal's pov A Captive Flower The car rolled to a smooth stop in front of my house, and relief flooded my veins. My fingers reached for the seatbelt, eager to free myself, but before I could fully unbuckle it, I heard a sharp click. My heart stopped. I tried pulling the door handle, but it wouldn’t budge. A sinking feeling pooled in my stomach as I turned my head toward Sebastian, my captor for the evening. His lips curled into a smirk, his fingers tapping rhythmically against the steering wheel as if amused by my sudden panic. “Stay away from that jerk… Jake, or whatever his name is,” his voice was dangerously calm, but the underlying warning was clear. “And don’t trust any boys, Petal. Believe me when I say punishment, I mean it.” The car felt suffocating. His scent, dark and intoxicating, filled the space, wrapping around me like an invisible noose. My throat was dry, my body frozen. “I think you don’t want to be punished after what happened today, right, my little flower?”
